Soulburn - Feeding On Angels (1996) Promo

 

Rogga Johansson and Bob Bagchus formed the band To the Gallows in 2013 with the idea to play old-school Doom/Black Metal in the old Bathory style. They called Eric Daniels and Henri Sattler to fill the line-up. As the writing process for a first full-length moved ahead, they decided to change the band's name to Soulburn in early 2014. Rogga Johansson eventually left the band.

 Originally Soulburn emerged after a first demise of Dutch death metal legend Asphyx in the mid 90’s, when founding members Eric Daniels (guitars) and Bob Bagchus (drums) looked for a seperate outlet to unleash their mutual obsession with Bathory and Venom. After a demo and the cult “Feeding On Angels” debut album via Century Media Records in 1998, which featured Wannes Gubbels (Pentacle) on vocals/bass, Soulburn were put to rest when Asphyx returned with “On The Wings Of Inferno” (2000) with the same line-up. Soulburn was dead, buried, but not forgotten...

 The album was only released in Europe, all copies found in America were imports.
Re-released by Century Media in 2009 with seven rehearsal bonus tracks, and lyrics now printed in the booklet.
