Disgorge - Necrholocaust (2003)

 

 Disgorge es una banda mexicana de Brutal Death Metal con elementos de Goregrind formada en 1993 en Querétaro, México. Las letras de la banda hablan de patologías, así como temas relacionados con la muerte y perversión. Fueron bastante influenciados por el Death metal de finales de 1980, especialmente de los británicos Carcass, y sus primeros trabajos Reek Of Putrefaction y Symphonies Of Sickness.

Iniciaron sus actividades en 1994 al grabar su primer demo/ensayo que incluye 6 canciones. Este trabajo recibió buenas críticas dentro de los grupos under, haciendo que la banda firme con Bellphegot Records para editar su primer demo oficial, que llevaría por título Through The Innards; que posteriormente sería incluido en el recopilatorio de la banda Gorelics.

En 1996 la banda editó su segundo demo titulado Blood And Pus Emanations y a continuación realizaron su primera gira por Centroamérica, donde tuvieron la oportunidad de tocar en Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala y Nicaragua.

 En 1998 realizaron su segunda gira por América Central, y en 1999 firmaron contrato con Repulse Records para la grabación de su segundo material discográfico, Forensick, a finales de 1999. En 2001, realizan su primera gira por Europa junto con la banda Sanatorium con 35 fechas en 14 países entre ellos Austria, Eslovenia, Francia, Italia y España, entre otros. En verano de 2002, la banda firmó con el sello Xtreem Music con quien lanza Necroholocaust y Gore Blessed To The Worms.

Ravager - Storm Of Sin (2002)

 

 Mexican death metal band Ravager was originally formed as "Domain" in 1997 by vocalist/bassist Antimo Buonnano, guitarist Samuel Olvera, and drummer Oscar Garcia. Also simultaneously members of another concurrent project named Demonized, the trio issued a couple of demos before adopting the Ravager name and releasing two albums: 2002's Storm of Sin, and 2004's Naxzgul Rising through Osomose Productions. 

They then promptly split up to explore different pursuits.

The title is an expression, it means like “god is a swine” and is used in some areas of northern Italy. “Ngul ‘a Crist!” (slang for ‘put it in the ass of Jesus’). It’s a bland and common blasphemy against Christian God.

Brujerizmo is their third studio. Brujerizmo featured a more groove-oriented style, with a clear and refined sound as opposed to the deathgrind style of the previous albums.

This was the last album recorded with Asesino and Güero Sin Fe, who were 2 of the 5 original members when the project began in 1990.

Jesse Pintado (July 12, 1969 - August 27, 2006) was a guitarist born in Empalme, Sonora, Mexico, but at an early age he moved to the United States. His career began in the band Terrorizer, who recorded the grindcore album "World Downfall".

 Jesse was the first to coin the term "grindcore" in 1983 to describe a musical mixture of "noise and chaos" he was developing at the time.

He later replaced guitarist Bill Steer immediately joining the Napalm Death band to start recording the album "Harmony Corruption." In 2004 officially leaves Napalm Death and revives Terrorizer. At the same time, he plays with his former Napalm Death (Shane Embury) bassist in the band called Lock Up. With Terrorizer he made the album "Darker Days Ahead" in 2006. He was part of the recording of the album "Brujerizmo" by the band Brujería under the pseudonym "Cristo de Pisto".

Jesse Pintado lived in Ridderkerk, the Netherlands. He died on August 27, 2006 in a Dutch hospital due to health complications (diabetic coma).
