Puteraeon - Fascination For Mutilation [demo CD-R] (2008)

Puteraeon was spawned in Alingsås, Sweden 2008 by guitarist & vocalist Jonas Lindblood (Taetre). “I started doing some oldschool riffs that took me back to my roots in death metal”. Some songs were posted on the net and there was a big demand for demos. Jonas did all in all 3 demos during the time of 2008-2009.

All demos were very well recieved within the underground. The demos got really good reviews and loads of interviews were made.

At the same time he had contacted both Anders Malmström, drums (ex-Nominon, Prophanity, Immemoreal, ex-Inverted) and Daniel Vandija, bass (13itch). And they were pursuaded to join. But all took some time.

When the band finally got together and started rehearsing, the contract with Cyclone Empire was allready inked. Hasse Sörensen who was in the band a short while on guitar was replaced by Rune Foss (Exempt, Reclusion, Aggro).

Finally in early 2011, the band is all set and ready to go. “The Esoteric Order” (T.E.O) mixed and mastered by Andy LaRocque Sonic Train studios, is an oldschool Swedish death metal album, blasting with rot and phlegm.

Following the success of T.E.O, Puteraeon hit the stage for the first time at Överrocken in Alingsås/Sweden. During the same year the swedish cities Gothenburg (twice) and Finspång got haunted by us and also the highlight Party San Open Air.

Early 2012 after a period of writing songs Puteraeon hit the stage in Västervik (se) in between recordings of the follow up to T.E.O, entitled Cult Cthulhu (C.C). The album was recorded with technician/producer/engineer/sound tech Kristian RZA Isaksson. Final mix and master again at Sonic Train Studios and Andy LaRoque.
The album was released on June 1’st via Cyclone Empire.
With the arrival of the autumn Puteraeon made yet another visit to Gothenburg and for the first time a gig in Denmark - Aalborg metal festival.

The future looks bright, the future looks rotten, embrace our Cult of the dreamless sleep of Cthulhu…

Totten Korps ‎- Tharnheim: Athi-Land-Nhi; Ciclopean Crypts Of Citadels (2000)

Totten Korps, founded in 1989 in Santiago, Chile, is one of the extreme metal pioneer bands in Chile, as well as being an influential band for future generations of Chilean Death Metal. The band was born amidst the chaos arising from the military dictatorship ruling the country at the time, scenario that fueled the goal of recording their first demo “The King of Hell Reclaims his Throne” (1990) and subsequently their second demo “For the Infernal Resurrection” (1991). Through these two recordings, an obscure and morbid EP was born: “Our Almighty Lords” (1992). In 1993, the band signed their first record deal with Hellion Rec from Brazil, thus managing to cross the Chilean borders to disseminate their somber Death Metal throughout the globe.

In 2000,
Totten Korps signed with Spanish label Repulse Records, which led to the release of the band’s first LP: “Tharnheim: -Ati-Land-Nhi; Ciclopean Crypts of Citadels”, an album marked by an occultist/transcendental philosophical structure that took the band to be released in Europe, North America and Asia.

Currently,
Totten Korps holds a legendary status within the South American underground Death Metal scene. In October 2014, the band completed their second LP “Supreme Commanders of Darkness”, a dark, brutal and technical album, which also manages to preserve the old school roots.

Vader - Kingdom [EP] (1998)

Vader was formed around 1983 when the heavy metal movement started to decline, succeeded by more extreme sounds like thrash, though they started off as just a heavy/speed metal act. They started achieving popularity in the Polish metal scene after the first Metalmania edition show in 1986. After numerous line-up and music direction changes, by 1987 they eventually embraced a pure death metal sound with reminiscence of thrash, marking the beginning of an era of splendor for underground metal in their home country.
The 1989 demo Necrolust was recorded by the duo Peter and Doc and elevated the band to a higher plateau among the extreme metal scene, attracting the attention of Carnage Records’s owner Mariusz Kmiołek. His label released the demo Morbid Reich in 1990, successful not only in the Polish market but in Western ones, becoming the best-selling demo in the history of death metal and attracting the attention of Earache Records, which issued the band’s debut.
The Ultimate Incarnation was released in 1992 through Earache Records, originally recorded in Stockholm and London. Vader became the first Polish artist to appear on the MTV with the “Dark Age” video, starting an European tour with Bolt Thrower and Grave and later gigging alongside Deicide, Suffocation and Dismember in the US, Canada and Mexico and Proletaryat in their home country. The Darkest Age - Live '93 live album reflected the potential of the group on those years.
In autumn 1994, the EP Sothis is released, on which they explored distinct musical horizons beyond the usual death metal standards. The cover of Depeche Mode’s “I Feel You”, recorded in September 1995 confirmed their determination to expand those horizons. With the following album De Profundis,Vader however embraced again the principles of the sub-genre, reaching a higher technical level than the debut. They went on tour through Europe again, with Cannibal Corpse, and Poland with Testor and Sweet Noise.
By late 1996, the compilation Reborn In Chaos including material from both Necrolust and Morbid Reich demo plus a cover album entitled Future Of The Past was released. It wasn’t until November 17th when Vader released new material on the Black To The Blind album, featuring a better production and simpler songs. They went on tour in the West to introduce the record, with the addition of former Dies Irae guitarist Mauser.
The EP Kingdom, released the next year included songs recorded during the previous album sessions as “Anamnesis”, considered by some fans the most unforgettable tunes of the band, and some techno-remixes. In 1998 they also released their first live video from a concert at Studio “Leg” in Cracow, along with another live album from a show at Club Quattro (Tokyo) from 31.08.1998. In 1999 they kept playing shows and festivals in Poland.
In March 22th 2000 the new album Litany saw the light of day, followed by another EP entitled Reign Forever World, released in December in Japan and January 2001 on the rest of the world. On the 2004 record The Beast, Doc didn't play. He had recently recovered from an ankle injury and “the whole band made the decision of his 'to be or not to be' last week” concerning life with his girlfriend and newborn son: “Doc pretty hard tried to 'fight' against his weaknesses, which were troubles for all of us. Finally he had not prevailed over that battle...All in all he attempted. Vader today is not just a friendship anymore - it's our life with armies of man involved in music, releases and first of all, fans waiting for shows or new albums. This is a high responsibility, not too many know about. If a person, even the most talented one cannot stand it, has to leave...That was Doc's decision as well”.
He was replaced by Daray in 2005 and the group signed with the Swedish label Regain Records. This new Vader incarnation shared stage with Kreator in the US and played in South America and the UK as well. In summer of the same year, they recorded the EP The Art Of War at the Hertz Studio in Białystok, which marked the beginning of new chapter in the history of the group musically, introducing a new logo as well, followed by more tours in Europe and North-America.
By early-2006, Vader started working on the next album Impressions In Blood, recorded in May and published in September. In the meantime, they headlined big summer festivals like Metal Crusaders in the US with Destruction and Kataklysm – later embarking on an extensive European tour (90 dates) with God Dethroned, Severe Torture and Nightrage. Some Japanese gigs followed in 2007 with Brutal Truth and Cryptopsy, plus 30 more shows in Eastern Europe and Scandinavia with Krisiun, Rotting Christ and Incantation. In summer, the band entered the Hertz Studio with the Wiesławski brothers Sławek and Wojtek, recording a song entitled “Sword Of The Witcher” specially for the soundtrack of the CD Projekt RED video game Wiedźmin.
The release of the double album XXV in March 2008 marked the beginning of the 25th anniversary tour in Europe and US summer festival appearances, entitled “Summer Slaughter” with The Black Dahlia Murder and Aborted among others. Novy left before the American dates, replaced by Martin from Decapitated, his bass duties were taken by Reyash from Christ Agony at the Woodstock festival. More line-up changes followed in August of the same year, with the departure of Daray to play with Dimmu Borgir and the resignation of Mauser, who focused on his side-project UnSun. A month later, a new incarnation incorporating guitarist Vogg and drummer Paul toured Scandinavia for 2 weeks.
In December 2008, Vader set about recording the new album Necropolis at the Hertz Studios with the collaboration of Tue Madsen, with 2 new songs “Rise Of The Undead” and “Impure” available for download on the band’s website on February/March 2009. They went on tour in January in Europe with Deicide and Samael. In April, the band parted ways with Regain Records to join Nuclear Blast, doing more shows in Poland until summer, starting a new promotional tour in August after the release of the new album with Marduk. 2 weeks later, they played in the US and Canada, accompanied by Warbringer and Decrepit Birth among others. It was the last tour with Vogg, who joined Decapitated after its reactivation. In 2010 more North-American dates followed, gigging alongside Overkill, playing in South Europe with Marduk and later the UK, Ireland and Benelux introducing new guitarist Spider.

Intestine Baalism - An Anatomy of the Beast (1997)

Intestine Baalism is a term for the Sumerian god of the harvest (or Baal).

In 1991, Intestine Baalism was formed in the suburbs of Tokyo, Japan by Seiji Kakuzak and other local musicians.

They started as a thrash metal band, but soon changed their style to true death metal and began playing at local clubs in Tokyo. Intestine Baalism's first milestone was the release of demo The Energumenus in 1994, which quickly sold over 500 copies. Encouraged by the good response to the demo, Intestine Baalism got an album deal, and in 1997, their first album, An Anatomy Of The Beast, was released by Repulse Records. An Anatomy Of The Beast was lauded by underground metalheads around the world.

However, Intestine Baalism were forced to stop due to an unstable line-up and other unexpected troubles. After a long silence, they came back to the death metal scene in 2003 with their 2nd album, Banquet in the Darkness, released by Blackend Records. Banquet in the Darkness and Intestine Baalism were featured and reviewed in over 50 media publications.

The band succeeded in spreading their unique death metal style with melody and aggressiveness. In their long history, the line-up of Intestine Baalism has changed quite dramatically. At various times, they have had a full-time vocalist and a third guitarist (for a short time, they performed live with triple guitars) but by the recording of the 3rd album, the line-up became fixed to the current members. Ultimate Instinct was recorded in 2007-2008. This is a concept album, the ideas for which took Seiji a great amount of effort to create and develop.

Suffocation - Despise The Sun [EP] (1998) CD (Re 2002)

Suffocation are widely recognized major innovators of death metal. They had a massive influence on the genre and pioneered the balance between brutal and technical sounds commonly heard in modern death metal. Frank Mullen is considered as one of the most emblematic death metal vocalists as well as one of the first to use a very deep "death growl" vocal style.

There was an earlier "incarnation" of Suffocation existing from 1988 to around 1990 which featured vocalist Frank Mullen, bassist Josh Barohn, guitarists Guy Marchais and Todd German and Barohn's friend on drums. By 1990, the band had hired guitarists Terrance Hobbs and Doug Cerrito along with drummer Mike Smith, members of the local band Mortuary which had already disbanded.
The band split-up after Despise the Sun and reformed in 2002 with some line-up changes. Doug Cerrito was asked to join when the band reformed, but apparently he wasn't interested. Mike Smith left the band again in 2012 due to personal differences with other members and was replaced by Dave Culross (who had previously played with the band on Despise The Sun). Culross was later replaced by Kevin Talley.

Human Waste was the first CD ever released on Relapse Records, though they aren't the first band released on the label (they first released a bunch of 7" singles). It is the first printed and distributed CD by Relapse.
