Marduk - Opus Nocturne (1994) [Reissue] (2015)

When We Are Gathered and Nightwing.

"Materialized in Stone" fue originalmente el tรญtulo de la canciรณn "From the Dark Past" el cual aparece en el รกlbum de Mayhem De Mysteriis Dom Sathanas, el tรญtulo fue cambiado por Per Yngve Ohlin antes de su muerte. Marduk adoptรณ mรกs tarde el tรญtulo para agregarlo a la canciรณn de este รกlbum. La banda utilizรณ previamente un tรญtulo de otra canciรณn de Per Yngve Ohlin en el รกlbum Those of the Unlight. Puede que probablemente esas acciones hayan sido una especie de tributo a la memoria de Per y sus trabajos.

Marduk - Wormwood (2009) Picture Disc [2010]

Marduk is a black metal band from Norrkรถping, Sweden. The band formed in 1990 and released their first album in 1992. Their name is derived from the Babylonian god Marduk, patron deity of Babylon.

Marduk was formed by Morgan Steinmeyer Hรฅkansson in order to form the “most blasphemous band in the world”. Their musical style was that of a straightforward death metal influenced take on black metal music, but as the years progressed their style and imagery became more of a fast and intense form of black metal.

Marduk’s predominant lyrical topics are Satanism, anti-Christianity, blasphemy, death, Third Reich history, and World War II. The latter two are a later addition to their lyrical/conceptual themes, stemming from their 1999 release Panzer Division Marduk. Marduk have recorded further songs relating to those chapters of human history, such as “The Hangman of Prague” (moniker of Reinhard Heydrich – second in command of the SS – in his capacity as the de facto Reichsprotektor of Bohemia and Moravia), “Night of the Long Knives”, “Deathmarch” and others. On the Nightwing album the band samples a violently anti-semitic march by the fascist Iron Guard in Romania.

The band’s fixation on Nazi-era Germany has caused a great deal of controversy, leading to multiple performances being cancelled, and leaving the band unable to tour multiple countries in various parts of the world. Much of this controversy stems from a 1995 interview with Nordic Vision Magazine, in which guitarist Morgan Steinmeyer Hรฅkansson was quoted as saying “in Germany, where magazines as “Rock Hard” and “Metal Hammer” have decided that we are a facist band and refuse to print any ads with Marduk […] the reason for this is that in a German.

Wormwood is their eleventh studio album. It was recorded at Endarker Studio by Magnus Devo Andersson and released on 21 September in Europe and 13 October in U.S. by Regain Records. It is the first Marduk album to feature drummer Lars Broddesson. "Phosphorous Redeemer" was made available on the band's official MySpace page in the run-up to the album's release.

Marduk - Nigthwing (1998) [reissue + bonus dvd, 2008]

Nightwing is the fifth studio album by Swedish black metal band Marduk. It was recorded and mixed at The Abyss between October and November 1997 and released in April 1998 by Osmose Productions. The theme of the album was blood, as the band's following studio albums Panzer Division Marduk would be war, and La Grande Danse Macabre would be death, forming a trilogy of "Blood, War and Death," Marduk's vision of what black metal is.

On Nightwing, the theme is blood, divided in two parts: The first in the satanic ways customary of Marduk's lyrics, but the second part tells the history of Vlad 'Tepes' Drakul, the Impaler of Wallachia who fought against the Ottoman invasion on Europe, giving continuity to the history started on "Deme Quaden Thyrane", a track from their third studio album, Opus Nocturne, and continued with "Dracul Va Domni Din Nou In Transylvania" from Heaven Shall Burn... When We Are Gathered. "Deme Quaden Thyrane" appears also here, rearranged, with Legion's vocals and a little change in the lyrics at the end.

In 2008, Nightwing was re-released with a new mastering, an alternative cover artwork and a live DVD of a show in Rotterdam 1998.

Marduk ‎- World Funeral (2003) [Box set 2006]

World Funeral is the eighth studio album by Swedish black metal band Marduk. It was recorded and mixed at The Abyss between September and November and was released on March 25, 2003 by Regain Records. The track listing of the album is organized as to create a dynamic change of paces and atmospheres, the tracks generally alternating between a fast, slow, fast, etc. pattern.

Balancing fast tracks with mid-paced tracks, it was a disappointment for fans expecting another head-to-toe fast album a la Panzer Division Marduk. Many fans suggested the band was going for a more commercial "mainstream" approach while others complimented their attempt to broaden their sound. World Funeral is the first Marduk album to feature Emil Draguntinoviฤ‡ on drums, the last to feature Legion on vocals and B. War on bass, and the last to feature mixing by Peter Tรคgtgren.

Marduk - La Grande Danse Macabre [2001] (Remastered 2006)

"La Grande Danse Macabre" is French for "The Great Grim Dance". In La Grande Danse Macabre the central theme is death. The lyrics of the songs mainly allude to this subject, adding it with the satanic theme that the band has used since its beginnings.
