Hate Forest - Scythia [demo] (1999) Rerelease [20011]

Hate Forest is a Ukrainian black metal band from Kharkiv, formed by Roman Saenko, the leading member of Drudkh, Dark Ages, and Blood of Kingu. Thurios joined the band in 1998 after the recording of Scythia. The music is mostly very fast, but occasionally slow, with low, distorted vocals, raw low fidelity quality production, programmed drums, and dark ambient elements (some releases have consisted entirely of dark ambient tracks). Musical influences are mostly from Scandinavian black metal to traditional death metal, especially Bolt thrower (Which they have covered their song "Cenotaph"). According to the band, its lyrics are about mythology, mainly Slavic, and inspired by H. P. Lovecraft's stories and Friedrich Nietzsche's philosophy. The band never gave interviews, never released photos, and held its distance from the black metal scene.
The band was active from 1995 to 2005.
After Hate Forest disbanded, Saenko focused on Blood of Kingu, a band similar in style but of different inspiration but had also ceased to exist in 2016.

Reformed for a one-off concert at the Metal East: Нове Коло festival on June 1st, 2019.

Hate Forest - The Most Ancient Ones (2001) LP reissue [2011]

Hate Forest is a Ukrainian black metal band formed by Roman Saenko, the leading member of Drudkh, Dark Ages, and Blood of Kingu. After Hate Forest disbanded, Saenko focused on Blood of Kingu, a band similar in style but of different inspiration but had also ceased to exist in 2016. Despite accusations of being a national-socialist black metal band, there is no definitive evidence available to prove the statement, and the band and their record label had previously expressed an aversion to political lyrics, endorsements, or any sort of mention of modern issues prior to their disbandment.

Hate Forest disbanded and a new band (fronted by Roman Saenko) called Blood of Kingu was formed.

Reformed in 2019 for a one-off concert at Metal East - Nove Kolo.

Hate Forest - Scythia [Reissue 2004], Battlefields [2004], Nietzscheism [2005]

Hate Forest is a black metal band from Kharkiv, Ukraine, formed by Roman Saenko, in 1995.

Thurios joined the band in 1998, after the recording of Scythia.
The band never gave interviews, and never released photos, and tended to distance themselves from the "black metal scene".
Their lyrics primarily focused on Slavic/Aryan mythology, Lovecraftian mythos, and the works of Friedrich Nietzsche.

Hate Forest called it a day, in 2005, with Roman and Thurios switching focus to the Ukrainian folk metal/black metal band, Drudkh. They reunited in 2019 after playing the Nove Kolo festival where they donated all proceeds from their performance to a local children's charity. Their new album Hour of the Centaur was released in December 2020.

Hate Forest were always far from politics, religion, denied any modern world values and ideals. The band never gave interviews, never made photos and always hold the distance from the whole black metal scene.

Hate Forest disbanded in 2004 and a new band (fronted by Roman Saenko) called Blood of Kingu was formed, however Hate Forest had reformed for a one-off concert at the Metal East: Нове Коло festival on June 1st, 2019. However, in December 2020, Osmose Productions announced Hour of the Centaur, Hate Forest's first album in 15 years, slated to be released the same month.
