Formed in 1985, Macabre’s lineup has remained the same since day one:
vocalist/guitarist Corporate Death (Lance Lencioni),
bassist/vocalist Nefarious (Charles Lescewicz),
and drummer Dennis the Menace (Dennis Ritchie).
That’s a rarity for any band, let alone a band in a genre where peers with similar longevity
may not feature even one original member.

Many credit Macabre as being one of the first bands to play a style of music which would influence death metal. They weren't really a death metal band themselves, however their lyrical content & grindcore sound furthered what would become death metal.

Macabre has been known to refer to their style of music as "murder metal".

Napalm Death + Barbarian Prophecies -|- 2013.02.03 Sala El Infierno, Vigo (Esp)

The Death Black Metal band Barbarian Prophecies was formed in 2000 after the fusion of the bands Barbarianth and Venomous Prophecies.
In the beginning they got a place in the underground scene editing a demo called “Conquerors of the Wolfthrone” (2002), the Ep “War is Inminent” (2005) and their first album, “Condemned Land… the War Begins” (2009).
But it was not until 2011 when, after got a stable line up, they published their first fully professional record “Remember the Fallen”, recorded and mixed in the prolific Sadman Studios (Madrid) by Carlos Santos and mastered by Mika Jussila in the Finnvox Studios from Helsinki.
“Remember the Fallen”allowed them touring all over the Spanish geography in several festivals, sharing scene with bands as important as Napalm Death.

Napalm Death was formed in 1981 in West Midlands, England, often credited as pioneers of the grindcore genre. While none of its original members remain in the group, the lineup of vocalist Mark "Barney" Greenway, bassist Shane Embury, guitarist Mitch Harris and drummer Danny Herrera has remained consistent throughout the band's career since the early 1990s.

Their debut album Scum, released in 1987 by Earache Records, has proven very influential in the global metal community. As one of the first albums to be described as 'grindcore', it introduced a new musical style which incorporated elements of hardcore punk and death metal, creating a noise-filled sound that uses heavily distorted, down-tuned guitars, overdrive bass, high-speed tempo, blast beat percussion, vocals consisting of incomprehensible growls or high-pitched shrieks, extremely short songs and social commentary. The band is known for its anti-capitalist, left-wing political views and support for animal liberation.

Napalm Death - Harmony Corruption (1990)

Napalm Death are a British grindcore band formed in Meriden, West Midlands, England, in 1981.

The band is credited as pioneers of the grindcore genre by incorporating elements of crust punk and death metal, using a noise-filled sound that uses heavily distorted, down-tuned guitars, grinding overdrive bass, high speed tempo, blast beats, vocals which consist of incomprehensible growls or high-pitched shrieks, extremely short songs and sociopolitical lyrics.

The style of the Harmony Corruption album was more death metal than grindcore, featuring extremely heavy riffs and deep low vocals.

The album was recorded at Morrisound Recording in Tampa, Florida, where since many classic death metal albums have been recorded. Florida death metallers Glen Benton from Deicide and John Tardy from Obituary were guest vocalists for the song "Unfit Earth".

The tracks from the Mentally Murdered EP, are included at the end of early editions of the CD, though versions now in print feature only the standard eleven tracks.

It is the first Napalm Death album to feature Mark "Barney" Greenway as the vocalist and Americans Mitch Harris and Jesse Pintado as guitarists, and the last with Mick Harris on drums.

Napalm Death - Order Of The Leech [2002]

One of the founders of grindcore, also contributing heavily to the extreme spectrum of metal and punk. Many consider Repulsion the true founders and legends of grindcore, but this is debatable because technically Napalm Death formed before them.

Originally, on their first few demos, Napalm Death were a peace punk band going under different names such as Political Unrest and Civil Defence, but most of the band names were relating to political/social things. However, they decided to stick with Napalm Death because it was "different" and best described how they felt. The only track officially available from this era is "The Crucifixion of Possessions" from the 1984 Crass Records compilation Bullshit Detector Vol 3. After Broadrick joined the band, they began to incorporate extreme metal influences and eventually would evolve into grindcore.

Their main source of inspiration originally came from bands like Discharge, Siege and D.R.I..

For years the band was considered to be one of the most extreme bands ever. They were notorious during their grindcore days for selling out shows at the infamous Mermaid Club in Birmingham. They gave light to the club and created a huge metal/punk movement with their music in the UK. Such shows that were played at the Mermaid Club were with the likes of other grind and punk bands like Heresy, Extreme Noise Terror, Dirge, Ripcord and even had the chance to open for one of their main influences, Discharge.

Lee Dorrian was the "grindcore"-era vocalist for Napalm Death. He left the band later on the upcoming third full-length release because the band wanted to pursue a more death metal-influenced style. He later went on to form doom/stoner legends Cathedral. Because of this, Mark "Barney" Greenway was recruited from Benediction because he was their roadie while playing shows in the UK and had always been a long time fan of the group.

Napalm Death were one of the first signed bands on the legendary death/grind label Earache (Scum being the third album to be released on the label, cataloged at MOSH3.)

With the inception of the album From Enslavement to Obliteration in 1988, Napalm Death had, against all expectations, broken into the mainstream by debuting at Number 1 on the UK Indie charts, scoring the label's first NME front cover and radio sessions with noted BBC Radio 1 DJ John Peel, who had typically supported the sound from its inception.

Lee Dorian was once asked to play with hardcore punkers Icons of Filth, which would've been his first band. He ended up buying a bass guitar to fill in the position, but the band broke up when he was ready to join.

Long-running guitarist Jesse Pintado died August 27, 2006 of a diabetic coma in a Holland Hospital.
