Soziedad Alkohólika - Felíz Falsedad [ep] (1992)

 

 Soziedad Alkoholika, abreviado a menudo como S.A. nace en 1988 en Vitoria, País Vasco, (España). con Juan como vocalista, Jimmy (ex Hipólito y Los cafres) y Oskar en las guitarras, Roberto (ex Ley Seca) en la batería e Iñaki en el bajo. En un principio deciden llamarse «Amonal», nombre que tuvo que cambiarse al coincidir con el de otra banda. Su estilo musical se podría definir como thrash metal y hardcore punk, y viene de la oleada de bandas vascas que cambiaron su sonido punk hacia un sonido más pesado. En sus letras suelen criticar con dureza el militarismo, fascismo, racismo y sexismo, entre otros asuntos.
En 1990 Oskar deja el grupo y se incorpora Pedro, que unos años después dejó el grupo sustituido por Jabi (ex Beer Mosh) para centrarse exclusivamente en la discográfica Mil A Gritos Records creada por la propia banda. Unos años después, este sería sustituido por Iñigo. A finales de 1996 Pirulo (Vitu's Dance) sustituye a Iñaki al bajo.
Su disco "Ratas" de 1995 fue Disco de Oro (más de 50.000 copias vendidas en España).

Soziedad Alkoholika - Soziedad Alkoholika (1991)

 

 Soziedad Alkohólika was born in 1988 in Vitoria, with Juan as vocalist, Jimmy (ex Hipólito and Los cafres) and Oskar on guitars, Roberto (ex Ley Seca) on drums and Iñaki on bass. At first, they decided to call themselves "Amonal", a name that had to be changed when it coincided with another band. In 1990, Oskar left the group and Pedro joined, who in 1997 left the group and was replaced by Jabi (ex Beer Mosh), to focus exclusively on the Mil A Gritos Records label, created by the band itself. A few years later, he would be replaced by Iñigo. At the end of 1996, Pirulo (Vitu's Dance) replaced Iñaki on bass.

 Since 2002 on the band has been accused by The Terrorism Victims Association and right-wing political parties of supporting ETA (a pro-independence Basque terrorist group), but they were absolved. This propaganda caused them to be banned from playing in some places (for 3 years in Madrid).

Soziedad Alkoholika - Kontzertua Gaztetxean (1994)

 

 

 Kontzertua Gaztetxean ("concierto en el gaztetxe") es el nombre del video de la grabación de un concierto en VHS en Navarra del grupo Soziedad Alkoholika y lanzado en 1994. 

Soziedad Alkohólika nace en 1988 en Vitoria, con Juan como vocalista, Jimmy (ex Hipólito y Los Cafres) y Oskar en las guitarras, Roberto (ex Ley Seca) en la batería e Iñaki en el bajo. En un principio, deciden llamarse «Amonal», nombre que tuvo que cambiarse al coincidir con el de otra banda. Desde 2002, la banda ha sido acusada por la Asociación de Víctimas del Terrorismo y partidos políticos de derecha de apoyar a ETA (grupo terrorista independentista vasco), pero fueron absueltos. Esta propaganda provocó que les prohibieran tocar en algunos lugares (durante 3 años en Madrid).

Soziedad Alkoholika - Intoxikazión Etílika [demo] (1990) Repress [1994]

 

 Soziedad Alkoholika (aka S.A.), is a Basque music group from Vitoria-Gasteiz (Spain). It is not easy to classify Soziedad Alkoholika within a specific style of music. Thrash, Hardcore, Metal, Punk... The only sure thing is that its foundation has always been in its strength and speed, displaying a wide and varied selection of influences based on their particular style as shown in their arrangements. With regard to their lyrics, they have always been faithful to the music. Their corrosive and explicit lyrics, full of social commitment and direct protest, have always been one of its main characteristics. This irreverant attitude has brought with it certain problems with the legal system, instigated by the most conservative sectors of the Spanish society. Nobody has been left indifferent since they formed the group. After their massive hit with their first demo "Intoxikazión Etílika" (1990) where they combine strength and speed, unusual for those times.
