The Swedish black metal band Marduk is considered one of the most relentless and fastest pillars of global extreme metal. Formed in Norrköping in 1990 by guitarist Morgan Steinmeyer Håkansson, the group was born with the explicit goal of becoming "the most blasphemous band in the world."

Throughout their career spanning more than three decades, the group has maintained a fast, aggressive sound and lyrics heavily focused on anti-Christianity, Satanism, and war history.
