 Since 1987, members of the band played in various thrash/death metal bands, predominantly playing cover songs, until Forsaken was formed around 1991. This was originally a cover band that covered songs by groups such as Bathory and Venom.

Primordial began in 1991 in Dublin, Ireland. Inspired by the underground black/death/doom movement of the time, traditional metal like Maiden/Lizzy/Sabbath and Irish traditional.

Suffocation were founded in Long Island, New York, in 1988. Suffocation are widely recognized as major innovators of death metal. They had a massive influence on the genre and pioneered the balance between brutal and technical sounds commonly heard in modern death metal. Frank Mullen is considered as one of the most emblematic death metal vocalists as well as one of the first to use a very deep "death growl" vocal style.

Körgull the Exterminator - War Over Genova!!! (2012)

 

Unleashed by Joe Bastard as a side project of his one-man band Akerbeltz in 2005 together with Lilith on vocals, it wasn´t until 2.007 that Mark Wild was recruited to record the first Split-CD together with Drizzt from Empty/Amnion on bass. Once the rehearsings were increasing the stuff, Steel Maniac was recruited as a fix member and with that line-up the first full-length 'Dogs Of War' was recorded, increasing the interest of the underground scene and making some memorables gigs around! In 2010 the second full-lenght 'War Of The Voivods' was released.
