Belphegor - Lucifer Incestus (2003)

Belphegor comes from the biblical name Baal-Peor, who is the God of the Moabites. The story is that when Israel owned the northeast corner of the plains of Moab, the Israelites would have illicit relations with the Moabite women and would sacrifice them to their god. Moses punished by death the Israelites who had sacrificed to Baal-Peor. The slaughter amounted to 24,000 deaths.

Belphegor was founded as Betrayer in 1991 by vocalist and bassist Maxx, guitarists Helmuth and Sigurd, and drummer Chris. The band released their first demo Kruzifixion in April 1991, and Unborn Blood later on. After adopting the name Belphegor in 1993, they released another demo, Bloodbath in Paradise on Maxi-CD format. At somepoint before or after the release of this demo, Maxx departed from the band, resulting in Helmuth assuming his role as both vocalist and guitarist of Belphegor since. In between 1993 and 1996 session member A-X performed bass, after which bassist Mario "Marius" Klausner joined the band as a full-time member.
The band was briefly signed to Perverted Taste Records, the label on which the demo Obscure and Deep was released in 1994. This release featured a cover of the Black Sabbath song "Sabbath Bloody Sabbath". Their first album, The Last Supper, was released by Lethal Records in January 1995. At this time the band's logo was also redesigned to include two inverted crosses surrounded by blood.
The band was on hold after their 2011 South American tour until May 2012 due to Hel "Helmuth" Lehner going through a serious and difficult operation after being infected with typhoid fever.

Kreator - Coma Of Souls (1990)

Formed in Essen, Germany, in 1984, under the name Tormentor, this thrash metal band originally comprised Milan ‘Mille’ Petrozza (guitar/vocals), Rob Fioretti (bass) and Jürgen ‘Ventor’ Reil (drums). Their vicious thrash style was inspired by the filth and industrial pollution problem that Essen, on the River Ruhr, was experiencing.

After changing their name to Kreator, they signed with the German-based Noise Records label, and their debut album, Endless Pain, appeared in 1985. Despite roughshod production, it was eagerly purchased by fans of the then fast-growing thrash metal scene. After Pleasure To Kill, featuring additional guitarist Jorg Tritze, Kreator grew to become one of the most popular bands of the genre, especially in Europe. Lyrically, they have always dealt with the dark side of life, a theme encapsulated in their slogan, ‘Flag Of Hate’.

The band refused to waver from their established musical path during the late 80s, endearing them to fans who helped to maintain Kreator’s place in the crowded and highly competitive field of thrash and death metal. Guitarist Frank ‘Blackfire’ Gosdzik, once with fellow German thrash metallers Sodom, made his debut on the Out Of The Dark... Into The Light EP. The line-up finally imploded, however, after the release of 1992’s industrial-styled Renewal, which alienated many of their traditional fans. Reil and Fioretti both left, and the line-up which signed a new contract with Gun Records featured Christian Geisler (bass) and Joe Cangelosi (drums; ex-Whiplash).

The disappointingly retro Cause For Conflict was released in 1995. Outcast and Endorama, both featuring ex-Coroner guitarist Tommy Vetterli and original drummer Reil, slowed down the band’s traditional thrash approach to create moody, atmospheric soundscape. Vetterli was replaced by Sami Yli-Sirinö on 2001’s Violent Revolution, which marked a welcome return to the band’s old sound.

Cannibal Corpse - Vile [1996] (25 Aniversary Edition) + DVD (2007)

Vile is the fifth studio album by American death metal band Cannibal Corpse. It was released in 1996 through Metal Blade Records. It was originally titled Created to Kill (which is featured in the Cannibal Corpse Box set) and had partially been completed Chris Barnes on vocals. Before the album was released, Barnes was dismissed from the band, which then brought in Monstrosity vocalist George "Corpsegrinder" Fisher to finish the album's vocal work. Fisher Barnes's vocal tracks and the band released the album under the new title Vile. Vile also marks the last album featuring guitarist Rob Barrett until Kill, and features a brand new band logo, because the previous logo had been drawn by the departing Chris Barnes. During the Vile sessions, "The Undead Will Feast" from Eaten Back to Life was re-recorded with Fisher on vocals. This version of the song would first appear as the only bonus track on a Japanese import edition of Vile and then on the Worm Infested EP in 2003.

The album was re-released in 2006 with new liner notes and a bonus DVD (entitled "Vile Live") featuring a full concert from the Vile tour, during which many songs from the album are performed. Vile was the first death metal album to appear on the Billboard 200 chart, debuting at No.151.

It was also the last Cannibal Corpse album to feature Scott Burns as producer.

Pest - Desecration (2003)

A black metal group that formed in 1997 in Sweden, Pest was known for their desire to produce a ‘purer' version of black metal, one that lacked the symphonic and progressive tendencies of some of the genre's second and third generation acts. Their speedy brand of the dark stuff was first made public on a series of demos that first started hitting the scene in 1998. The duo members, Equimanthorn (bass and guitars, and not to be confused with the similarly named former member of Dark Funeral) and Necro (guitars, vocals, and drums) (Pest would, on occasion, utilize session drummers on some works), released two further demos in 1999, In Eternity Skyless and Black Thorns before ‘officially' releasing the Blasphemy Is My Throne EP in 2002. Finally, a full length from the duo, now making quite a buzz in the ‘true' black metal underground, entitled Desecration, was released in 2003.

Obituary - Cause Of Death (1990)

Originally formed in 1984, under the name Executioner. Since there was already a band called Executioner in Boston, they changed it to Xecutioner and then finally to Obituary in 1988, after they signed with Roadrunner Records.

Obituary are considered to be one of the pioneering bands of the death metal genre. They started playing music in the vein of Venom and Celtic Frost. Once the band started hearing groups like Possessed, they realized that they want to make music as "sick as these guys."

Their "The End Complete" album is crowned the best selling pure death metal album ever released, selling over 100,000 copies in the US, and over a quarter million worldwide. Also, the new Obituary logo (as can be seen on "The End Complete") has been considered Roadrunner's best selling shirt print in its history.

Obituary had a six year absence between 1997-2003, because the band members had other priorities to turn to like raising new families and getting "real jobs". The reunion is credited to Donald Tardy's time playing in Andrew W.K.'s band, when, during one live performance in Florida, some of the other Obituary members were present and decided to play some Obituary tunes just for fun for the audience, eventually leading to a full-time reunion.

Allen West was sent to prison in 2007. John Tardy later revealed in an interview that West had been jailed for repeated drink driving offenses. Ralph Santolla, shortly after departing Deicide, replaced him for "Xecutioner's Return". West was arrested again in 2013 after the police discovered a meth lab in his home. In a 2014 interview, John and Donald Tardy said they have lost contact with West, since he was released from prison.

For the 2010 South American tour, Obituary's long time friend and Floridian death metal stalwart Terry Butler (Death, Massacre, Six Feet Under, Denial Fiend, Obliterhate) took on bass duties in place of Frank Watkins. Terry Butler permanently replaced Watkins some time later.

Besatt - Sacrifice for Satan (2004) LP (2006)

Besatt is the Swedish/Norwegian word for "possessed".

Besatt has been formed in 1991 as initiative of Beldaroh (bass) and Weronis-guitar to spread satanic ideas by the music. For first few years they have a lots of troubles with line-up (not everybody who played with them understands well, what has been created ) problems with equipment and proper place for practice. From this period they have two reh-tapes "Ares" and "Wieki ciemne" (Dark Ages).

In 1994 Fulmineus has joined to the band, so finally line-up stabilized as: Beldaroh (bass), Weronis (guitar), Fulmineus (vocal/drums). In 1996 they recorded first demo "Czarci Majestat" (Devil's Majesty). This stuff contained Black Metal music with medium tempo and melody. This demo has mystic and demonic mood and this way they started the satanic crusade. In 1997 second guitarist, Creon has joined to the band and they visited recording studio again to create first official album "In Nomine Satanas". This simple, fast stuff exactly shown their satanic nail. After this record Weronis left the band from the ideological reasons.

In 1999 as Beldaroh (bass), Creon (guitar), Fulmineus (drums/vocal), Besatt has recorded second official album "Hail Lucifer". This step further gave more developed madly music. There is Satan breath smells from this stuff as a mighty hit into the christian god. In 2000 they recorded split "Underground Satanic Split" with polish "Unhallowed" and greek "Tragedy Begins". It contains stuff of Besatt activity from 1993 to 1999 in new versions and underground sounds. In 2001 they recorded third official album "Hellstorm" which continues motive from previous album but stuff is more ripe, longer and satanic minds are still basic. After finished this record Creon and Fulmineus left the band and as new guitarist has joined Agonus to the band.

In April 2002 Besatt as: Beldaroh (bass/ vocal), Agonus (guitar) and Sukkor Benot (from polish Katharsis) as session drums have recorded new stuff for MCD "Korzenie Zla" (Roots of Evil). It contained new songs and two covers: Gorgoroth-Gorgoroth and Kreator-Tormentor. After this record Fulmineus has came back to band. In the January 2003 has been recorded two Besatt songs for split called "Scream of the Eastern Lands", where besides Besatt following bands took a part: Dub Buk, Inferno, Immortal Hammer, Negura Bunget, Verdeleth.
