Old Funeral - The Older Ones [Compilation] (1999) [Digipak 2001]

Old Funeral were a black/death metal band from Bergen, Norway.

Old Funeral were one of the first bands to form in the Norwegian extreme metal scene, formed in 1988. By 1992, the band had already dissolved. Since the breakup, many members (such as Abbath and Demonaz of Immortal, and Varg Vikernes, in Old Funeral as Kristian Vikernes, of Burzum) are now quite famous as members of the early Norwegian black metal scene. Old Funeral has also gained recognition, even though the music was never that impressive by today's standards. Among their influences were Carcass (UK) and Morbid Angel (Usa).

On November 15 2015, Old Funeral reunited to perform at Blekkmetal 2015 in Bergen, Norway.

Morbosidad - Morbosidad / Cójete a Dios Por el Culo (2008)

In 1993 the dark, evil, and obscure earth vomited the curse of Morbosidad. In that same year a three tracks Rehearsal demo was made. In 1994 Morbosidad got into the cold and black studios in San Francisco, California and recorded four assaults of pure Brutal Dark Sick and Blasphemous Metal. Which it was supposed to be called "Santisima Muerte". A year later the drummer (Yegros) passed way in a explosion accident in our dark and cold Rehearsal cavern, due to his depart the band decided to disintegrate his wickness for a while. Along with the band,it vanish the distribution of "Santísima Muerte" which it never came out as an official morboso released. In the mid 1998, Tomas Stench and N'Death gather evil thoughts again and bring back the horde to earth with new line up and ideas, the band started to work on new material which later came to be the self title. But due to some personal and economic problems the self title came out until 2000. Ever since then the horde has been creating evilness and desecrating as much possible in order to spread the evil and worship of the mighty Horned one!!!

Moonblood - Rehearsal IV (1995)

MOONBLOOD somehow arose out of the ashes of DEMONIAC who formerly have been active since 1990 under the name of PURULENT OBDUCTION and playing primitive Doom/Death Metal . And PURULENT OBDUCTION was the continuation of BLOODBRAIN, an raw early Thrash/Deathcore act that was started sometime in early 1989 as T and A (Terror and Agnostic) by Tino Mothes (aka Occulti-is, later Occulta Mors) and Andreas Schwach (aka Lord of the Necrotic Slaughters, Lord Asmoday).

Partly other local “musicians” have been shortly members of the project in person of Michael Männel on guitar and Heiko Kahn (later joined the Hardcore band 4 BEHIND 3) on the drums. The line-up just lasted for a year or even less but long enough to play a horrible live show and 2 even more horrible sounding Grindcore Demo tapes (with Andreas Schwach and Tino Mothes as remaining members) were recorded in the attic namely “Satan’s Lust” (end of 1989) and “Cadaverous Mutilation” (1990). Tino Röder (aka Necromaniac, Count Damien Nightsky), who was playing with the local Schneeberg Thrash/Crossover band SEPTIC TERROR, joined in late 1990 as guitarist and from this day forward the band was known as PURULENT OBDUCTION while the Grindcore changed to doomy Death Metal.

Besides PURULENT OBDUCTION Tino Mothes and Andreas Schwach had a Grind/Noisecore project running as well called EXCREMENT TERROR were they recorded several sick trax that have been available in form of a Demo tape called “Achachnophobia” back in 1991 (Excrement Terror in 2014).

PURULENT OBDUCTION played 3 live gigs and locally released 3 Reh/Demo tapes (“Rotting Corpse” – 1991, “Live in Unterheinsdorf” – 1991, “Addictive” – 1992) until in spring 1993 they got the idea to change the band name once again due to the slightly changed lyrically content. The name they’d chosen was DEMONIAC and a first Demo “Divine Grudge” was released in March 1993 while the musically concept did not change until late summer/autumn 1993 when Mirko Schmat (Blacksoul, later Gaamalzagoth) joined on vocals and they also started writing faster, more Black/Death Metal. The line up was consisting now of Necromaniac – Guitar, Occulti-is – Drums, Lord of the Necrotic Slaughters – Vocals, Blacksoul – Vocals.

With that line up they quickly recorded the Reh/Demos “Blaspherion” (September ’93), “Black Prophets” (October ’93) and “Jesus never lived” (January ’94). Shortly after releasing “Jesus never lived” that had almost no Death Metal influences of the early days left, the band broke up because of internal trouble. Necromaniac and Lord of the Necrotic Slaughters started Andras while Occulta-Mors and Blacksoul decided to change the band name to MOONBLOOD because another band from New Zealand just had released their first Demo almost at the same time when they sold their last Demo “Demoniac” in early ’94, a kind of compilation of ’93 recordings.

In July 1994 after several months of intense recording sessions MOONBLOOD finally had enough material for a fullenght Demo (entitled “Moonblood”). Sadly the sound was utter garbage, while the songs itself haven’t been that horrible though. With that tape they got in touch with Unholy Baphomet Records to release the “Nosferatu” Demo in late 1994, a 40 min fucker on pro-tapes but again with terrible rehearsal quality. In January 1995 MOONBLOOD entered for the first time ever a recording studio, the Digan Tonstudio in Annaberg (where most of the Death and Black Metal bands in that area recorded their stuff) and recorded the “The Winter Falls Over the Land” tape. Sadly they have been too unexperienced for such a session so the whole tape was mixed by the sound engineer himself. Therefore they later wasn’t much satisfied with the result in the end. September in the same year they once again entered the Digan Studio again highly motivated to record 5 more trax, including the intro of the coming album. This time the sound mix was much more of their liking. In October, one month later, they released a Reh/Demo Tape that shouldn’t really appear in their discography as lyrically it didn’t fit in their concept. Therefore “Siegfried” was limited to only 50 copies, German written verses based on the Nibelungen Epos with Bathory-ish music underlayed. Definitely shouldn’t represent MOONBLOOD in general.

The next studio date was in February 1996 when they recorded the first album “Blut & Krieg” for the label Majestic Union Records again at Digan Studio. In August 1996 Unholy Baphomet Records finally published the Split 7″ with Nema, which the track “Moonstruck” was recorded for in September 95. “I am All” from the same session was placed on the Canadian Compilation CD “Under the Pagan Moon”. In November 1996 they had another Digan date and recorded the outrageous “Fullmoon Witchery” and the hymnic “Under the Abyssic Black of the 3rd Angel” (previously never used). The cassette version of “Blut & Krieg” was ready in March 1997 as a co-production of Majestic Union and Sombre Records. They’ve made 666 copies and in contrary to the LP version contains “I am All” and “My Evil Soul” from the September 95 session as bonus trax. July 1997 the “Enceclopedia Pestilentia” Triple Compilation CD’s got released and they opened the massacre with the aforementioned “Fullmoon Witchery” track. In the meanwhile they were waiting for the release of “Blut & Krieg” on vinyl as promised but nothing more happened in 1997 except that MOONBLOOD entered the Digan Studio again in November 97. Originally the 5 tracks recorded should be meant for a Split CD with malay Black Metal band PURNAMWULAN but it just did not happen. In March 1998 Sombre Records released the Split 7″ with ASAKKU with MOONBLOOD’s part being “Hordes of Hate”, the last unreleased track from the September ’95 session. Sombre Records also suggested to do the “Blut & Krieg” LP by himself which happened already in November. He did 333 copies, but it’s not a secret that more copies are circulating. When he died there was a complete box with 50 copies (or more) found at his place. You should at least watch out for the insert and the sticker if you plan to buy the LP, all copies without them are highly doubtable, especially the stickers as they’ve made them by theirselves, so there are just 333 stickers available. It was in August 98 when they recorded 7 new trax in a newly built up recording studio in their neighbour city and part of the songs have been used for the Split Tape with Brazilian band Evil.

Nakkiga - Amerasu (2013)

The band name, as well as some lyrical themes ("Amerasu") are derived from Tad Williams' fantasy series Memory, Sorrow, and Thorn. It's the name of a city of immortal beings, Norns, and it means "mask of tears."

Nakkiga was born from the ashes of a Grind/Black project called Brutal Devastación Cerebral. The only two components of this group Arghura Zephol (guitars, keyboards and choirs) and Oindurth (drums, bass, lead vocal and vocals) founded Nakkiga in late 1999 at the age of 18 with the intention of making a group oriented to the Thrash of the Storbais, but due to the musical influences of the two components (Black metal, Brutal Death, Thrash metal, Punk ...) the idea was discarded and the group was made as a mixture of all these styles, singing in Euskera and of mythological and/or fantastic theme.
After three years composing in the premises they decide to record a demo. For which they record two songs from the current repertoire, the first song of the group P.D.M. (1999) as a bonus and an outro dedicated to the Artzaiak (shepherds) and the Ardiak (sheep). The demo was recorded on April 7 and 8 of 2003 in the rehearsal room, the first day recording the three songs and the second the outro and the mixes. In the demo
have collaborated Madaleno from Deskizio, Urgarun from Mortinatum, Nadia and Urko by Euri Tantak, Venganza of La Casa del Ruido, Goiatz and Txibo de Ödol and Txema and Txotxe from Cantaores de Joticas Astroungaras.
In October of the same year they enter the "Spitako Studios" and recorded a second demo between days 17 and 18. The demo is composed of an intro, two tracks and an outro. In this second demo they have collaborated Urgarun de Mortinatum and Urritz de Euri Tantak.

In 2005 they edit a demo and also a split with Xerión "Ipar Basoetan / Na Fraga Do Norte" followed by another one in 2007 "Four Concentric Ways of the Ancient Cult". In 2010 he released his full album entitled "Belebeltzeta".

Autopsy - Mental Funeral (1991) Remastered [2003]

The origin of this vile creation known as Autopsy goes back to August of 1987 in Antioch, California, spawned by the meeting of guitarist Eric Cutler and drummer Chris Reifert, who had recently left the band Death. The two wasted no time in forming a deadly band with a clear vision of creating the heaviest, most brutal music possible. Brief tryouts for a vocalist were attempted but ultimately proved to be futile. In the interest of moving things along, Reifert took on the job of vocalist along with drumming, while Cutler would lend his guttural vocals to the song "Mauled to Death", one of Autopsy's first creations. Inspired by all things horrific, the band even found its name in the true annals of horror while reading a newspaper article about the manager of the band Bloodbath (Danny Coralles' band at the time) being beaten to death with a lead pipe. The word Autopsy stood out and the moniker was chosen on the spot. Another outcast from the area, bassist Eric Eigard was brought into the fold and after a few rehearsals the trio entered ATR studios to record the 1987 demo which showed exactly what they had in mind for their mission.

The course had been set and a brutal beginning was underway. The band promptly sent the demo tape to anyone who would listen to it and soon the metal magazines were approaching Autopsy instead of the other way around. This was a fertile time for death metal and Autopsy showed no hesitation in staking their claim in this brutal new world. Soon after the release of the debut demo, Eric Eigard left the band and was replaced by Ken Sorvari on bass. Several local shows were played with Sadus and Hexx, with one of these being attended by future guitarist Danny Coralles who was in the process of being talked into leaving Bloodbath, his band at the time, to join Autopsy by mutual friend Don Chandler. Coralles showed up at an arranged rehearsal/audition and quickly showed he was up to the task by displaying his knowledge of the material from the first demo and learning the songs for the upcoming second demo to be titled "Critical Madness". The true test came with his second time playing with Autopsy which was the recording of the demo in June of 1988. The recording took place at ATR again, and the rest was history. Copies of both demos were now circulating throughout the underground and soon enough ended up in the hands of Peaceville Records owner Paul "Hammy" Halmshaw due to a recommendation from none other than Jeff Walker of the legendary Carcass.

A deal with Peaceville was struck up straight away and Autopsy was set to enter Starlight Sound in January of 1989 to record their debut album "Severed Survival". The one problem that needed to be solved was the departure of Ken Sorvari, leaving the band without a bass player. Friend and bass annihilator from Sadus, Steve DiGiorgio was asked to step in and fill the void which he did with devastating results. The album was unleashed later in the year and let the world know that Autopsy was a brutal force to be reckoned with. Death metal would never be the same again. Shortly after "Severed Survival" was released, Ken Sorvari rejoined the band and a European tour was booked for early 1990 with Pestilence, Bolt Thrower and Morgoth. This tour got the message across more strongly than ever and a rabid following soon developed, elevating Autopsy's name to levels previously unachieved before that point. Interestingly enough, Peaceville began to see troubles regarding the "Severed "Survival" album cover which depicted a person being ripped apart by meat hooks. At that time, sensitivity to images of that sort was high and the decision was made to come up with alternate artwork so distributors could handle this monster of an album. The decision payed off and another classic album cover was created as a result. "Severed Survival" was re- launched in 1990 and the path to brutality was cut even deeper than before. As would be the pattern for Autopsy, bass player problems plagued the band again as Ken Sorvari was asked to leave following the European tour. He was replaced by Steve Cutler, Eric's brother and another European tour was booked, this time with label -mates Paradise Lost.

Keeping the momentum going, Autopsy entered Different Fur studios in San Francisco that same year to record the three song "Retribution for the Dead" e.p. which showcased Autopsy's ability to infuse dark crushing doom with their already savage brand of death metal. In November of 1990, Different Fur was visited again for the recording of the now legendary Mental Funeral album. Both "Retribution for the Dead" and "Mental Funeral" were released in 1991. Around this time, Steve Cutler left the band and again Autopsy had to figure out how to fill the gap. A friend of the band, Josh Barohn had previously left Suffocation and offered to make the trip from New York to California to try out for the band. He did indeed make the journey, by bus, with one bag and his bass across his back. Truly the sign of a die-hard maniac. While Josh adjusted to the Autopsy experience, Steve DiGiorgio stepped in once more to join forces and play on the "Fiend for Blood" e.p. in September of 1991 at Starlight Sound, to add a third release to Autopsy's catalog for that same year. In June of 1992, Autopsy went back to Starlight to record "Acts of the Unspeakable", their sickest and most extreme album to date. With inner artwork so graphic for the time, Peaceville was actually raided by the authorities fueled by accounts of obscenity. Autopsy was exploring new ways to make even the most jaded metal fans cringe while new levels of bizarre songwriting were achieved, to make an overall disturbing and unsettling album. Again, the bass player curse reared its head when Josh Barohn left the picture. This would not, however, be the undoing of the band. A U.S. tour was booked during the summer of 1993 with Freeway Migliore coming along as a session bass player. Freeway, being a friend and the drummer for Immortal Fate also played guitar, so the choice to have him make the switch to bass seemed logical and worked out quite well. The tour however did not go well and was to be the undoing of Autopsy. The tour was poorly planned, and with little or no promotion saw Autopsy driving long distances for low attendances over a long period of time. Tensions within the band increased as a result and a rift had formed midway through the tour.

The drive to continue as a group had been drained and the end was apparent. Refusing to end with a whimper, Autopsy made the decision to disband only after playing a farewell show in San Francisco and completing their final album which would be "Shitfun", which was recorded at San Francisco's Razor's edge in November/December of 1994. Bass duties were handled by all three members of Autopsy as well as Freeway Migliore and Clint Bower. This was easily the sickest, most depraved release from Autopsy. Heavy, disgusting and violent, it captured Autopsy's sentiments at the time and signified the final assault upon its 1995 release. Fast forward to September of 2008 and Autopsy has entered Fantasy Studios in Berkeley, California to record two new songs for the 20th anniversary edition of "Severed Survival" for its 2009 release. A limited pressing of a 7" single titled "Horrific Obsession" results as well from the new tracks. This recording was initially meant to be strictly a special treat to compliment the occasion and nothing more. Regardless, the classic Autopsy sound was still as strong as ever and renewed interest in the band began, leading up to live setting requests and general enthusiasm never before seen, much of which coming from a whole new generation of rabid death metal fans.

Finally, after years of vowing that they would never be a band again, Autopsy decides to start performing again and agrees to appear at several metal festivals in 2010, beginning with Maryland Death Fest. Long time friend Danny Lilker is asked to play bass for the live appearances and rehearsals sound more crushing than ever. Joe Trevisano is then confirmed to take over on bass after the completion of the live commitments. With renewed inspiration flowing strongly, the members of Autopsy begin writing new material at a fever pitch as 2010 turns out to be an incredible year for Autopsy and for death metal. Not only do live performances begin, but new studio recordings are planned as well as a documentary DVD, to be released through Peaceville Records. The second era of Autopsy is officially underway, heralded by a veritable explosion of blood splattering deathly brutality. Once again, the gore is spewing forth and the beast that is Autopsy hungers for rotting meat. To quote the band : "All we can do is offer more brutality....."

Old Wainds - Oбжигающий холодный (2005)

Old Wainds were formed back in 1995 among the desolate northern landscapes of Hyperborean Russia, far beyound the Polar Circle in the city of Murmansk. Their severe northern Land, it's Purest Nordic Spirit and atmosphere were the main sources of inspiration through the whole history of Old Wainds. "The Northern Wind of malice, your power is the one of the god - these ruined churches with the broken windows would witness. Lo, the Wind! You are the ruler of this Glorious Land. Among the morbid dwarf trees and the wastelands of black moss. Here the air is drunk with the blood of the ancient battles. Here, where the Snows are never gone… This is my Northern Soil. The frozen rivers, where the moonshadows gleam eternally. And these pale stars, they are but an echo to the snowfalls…" (from "Here, Where the Snows are Never Gone" lyrics).

Three Unholy Nordic Souls of Frost are the supreme forces behind the band since the very beginning - Morok, Kull and Kholdogor. On the later albums known as Haucium, Mefisto and Trismegist. The permanent session drummer up to the present moment is Izbor of Навь (''Nav''), who is also supported by Old Wainds members in his main band.

During the Autumn 1996 they finish the debut demo "Withers of the Wind", which is sold out and unavailable by today. December 1997 is followed by "Here, Where the Snows are Never Gone" demo\album, which is an already legendary milestone by now. Merciless Nordic Holocaust Black Metal Aggression with no compromises. Year 1999 the third promo\demo "Through the Chaos towards the Eternal Winter" was recorded, a pair of years later this work of the band was released by Miriquidy Prod. (Ger) as vynil 7"EP. The Chaos of 2000 was celebrated by the unreleased rehearsal tape. And finally in July 2001 the new fullength album "Religion of the Spiritual Violence" was completed. The same year Stellar Winter Rex. (Russ) have re-release "Here, Where the Snows are Never Gone" in pro-tape format and Spring 2002 Miriquidy Prod. (Ger) have released "The Religion…" CD which made Old Wainds known rather widely among the circles of radical BM worldwide.

Unholy Nordland Fire

Hate! Chaos of fire
Howling of human cattle
Lava carbonized a bone
Flows down in low grounds
Being filled a dirty christian mass
All christians die on unholy fire
We shall collapse this malicious fate
We shall pass on this ground
From a mountain up to a mountain
Together with a god of fire
You are loaded back whence came
In the dirty swamps lie
Ha-ha! I laugh, I am hand of justice
The prayer for saving of soul will not help
The people in black were going in a wood
It is eternal paganism feast
In night of a full moon will be accomplished
Black vengeance
For a untranquillity of soul!
Ha-ha!
