Death Metal/Grindcore project RazorRape was formed in 2004 as a one-piece project by the drummer Martin Schönherr. Prior to 2021, all live shows had session members.

At War with Satan is the third album by the British heavy metal band Venom, released in April 1984. It is a concept album that tells the story of a war between Heaven and Hell which the latter side wins. It was touted as Venom's crossover into mainstream music, but failed to do so. Shortly after it went on sale, the HMV record chain withdrew the album from its shelves because of its anti-Christian content.
The inspiration for writing a track filling out an entire side of the record, according to Venom's bass guitarist and vocalist Cronos, came from Rush's 2112 album. "At War with Satan" is centred on a character named Abaddon (which is also the alias of Tony Bray, Venom's drummer), who is the guardian to the gates of Hell. Cronos started writing, in his school days, a story about "how Hell revolts and takes over the heavens and throws God into Hell", a story later fleshed out as "At War with Satan". The title track's imagery and storyline largely evokes the Book of Revelation and John Milton's epic poem Paradise Lost (1667–1674), filtered through a postmodern horror movie and pulp aesthetic. The catchy opening riff of the title track derives from the song "Teaser" by Tommy Bolin (1975).
With side A taken by the epic title track, side B offers the "three-minute scorchers" for which the band is best known. The metal journalist Malcolm Dome said that songs such as "Cry Wolf" showed how much Venom had matured in their songwriting without losing their edge. According to the AllMusic reviewer Eduardo Rivadavia, the album's last track, "Aaaaaarrghh", is "possibly the funniest song ever recorded".
At War with Satan's packaging resembled the leatherbound sleeve of a bookcover. A hundred-page The Book of Armageddon with the entire story of At War with Satan was supposed to be published alongside the album, but it never happened. The Swiss independent distributor Disctrade tried to interest Venom in H. R. Giger's painting Satan I (1977) to no avail. It later became the cover art of Celtic Frost's second album, To Mega Therion (1985).
By the time At War with Satan went on sale, Venom had reached a crossroads in their career. Critics felt that their third album should have propelled them into the heavy metal mainstream, something which failed to materialize. Venom were also being threatened by thrash metal upstarts such as Metallica, who two months before At War with Satan's release were the opening act for Venom's Seven Dates of Hell tour (Roughly a year later Venom also took Slayer and Exodus on their North American Combat Tour). This was Metallica's first European tour, which included concerts in Switzerland, Germany, France, Belgium and the Aardschok Festival in the Netherlands.
The record was well received by major music magazines. "Proof positive that Venom are the best heavy metal band in the world", said Melody Maker's Neil Jeffries of the album. "It will definitely go down in Heavy Metal history as the ultimate headbang," claimed a Sounds reviewer of the title track. At War with Satan's entry on the "Where to Start with" section of the Kerrang! site says that this was the "last truly great record the Geordie three would make". Some criticism, though, was directed toward the album's production values, viewed as subpar.
The title track's merits divided critics. In the opinion of About.com's Chad Bowar, "At War with Satan" is at the same time "highly ambitious" and "bloated", but the song was "so over-the-top and so dramatic that it somehow worked" and made the album "an overlooked metal gem".The Allmusic review's tone was harsher: this concept piece was an "ill-advised anomaly", much of it "decidedly crap".
The rise of metal's popularity in the 1980s was paralleled by the political power gained by conservative organisations such as the Parents Music Resource Center (PMRC). The Christian campaign against the "offensive" content of rock music carried out by certain political groups in America eventually crossed over to the United Kingdom. Venom became one of its early victims: HMV stopped selling At War with Satan in fear of legal action because of Britain's obscenity laws. The PMRC later included the title track of Venom's following album Possessed in their "Filthy Fifteen" list.

Defleshed is a Swedish death/thrash metal band. The group was formed by guitarist Lars Löfven, formerly of Convulsion and Inanimate. He was joined by ex-Crematorium bassist Gustaf Jorde shortly after recording a demo. In 1995 drummer Matte Modin joined the band.
From the mid-90s to 2005, Sweden's Defleshed churned out a white hot blend of thrash, death metal, and grindcore, marking themselves as one of the most vital bands in all three of those genres.

Él llamó a su obra Al Azif el ruido de los insectos, que fue llamado Necronomicón primero en griego y luego en latín, siendo esta la traducción griega del erudito Teodoro Filetas hecha en Constantinopla en el año 950, y posteriormente vertida al latín por Olaus Wormius en el año del Señor de 1228.

Donald Tyson es un erudito ocultista y autor de la popular y aclamada serie Necronomicon. Ha escrito más de una docena de libros sobre tradiciones esotéricas occidentales, incluido el Tarot mágico de Agrippa , y ha editado y comentado los Tres libros de filosofía oculta . Donald vive en Nueva Escocia, Canadá.
Ktulu es un grupo de metal de Barcelona (España). Fundado en 1986, su estilo musical, con influencias de la escena metálica de la Bay Area californiana de los '80, abarca el thrash metal, groove metal e industrial metal. Sus letras son un alegato a favor de la libertad de expresión y de los derechos humanos y en contra de la censura.
Su nombre proviene del tema "The Call of Ktulu" de la banda Metallica, inspirado en Cthulhu, ente creado por el escritor H. P. Lovecraft.
Historia
Comenzaron a tocar a finales de 1986 en Hospitalet de Llobregat (Barcelona) como grupo de thrash metal, con influencias de la escena metálica de la Bay Area californiana de los '80. En 1991 publicaron en vinilo su primer disco llamado Involución.
En su siguiente trabajo, titulado Orden Genético y lanzado en 1994, cambian hacia un metal un poco más vanguardista, pero sin desprenderse de sus raíces. En él se puede encontrar el tema "Apocalipsis 25 D", incluido en la banda sonora de la película El día de la Bestia de Álex de la Iglesia, que supone un encuentro de la banda con un nuevo estilo más industrial añadiendo samplers y sonidos pregrabados. Este trabajo hace que su música conquiste al gran público, siendo a partir de este momento más conocidos, y más aún con la gira por España realizada con Extremoduro, Soziedad Alkoholika, Def con Dos y The Pleasure Fuckers.
Ktulu 2020
En 1997 publicaron Confrontación (producido por el danés Jan Borsing),1 entrando de lleno en el terreno del metal industrial.
Ese mismo año lanzan otro nuevo disco: El Latido del Miedo. La banda se adentra en el terreno del metal industrial más extremo remezclando ocho temas de Confrontación.
Continúan en la banda Willy (voz), Jorge (guitarra) y Miguel (batería), a los que se unen Pedro (guitarra), Lara (bajo) y Raúl (sampler y teclados) para conducirlos hacia fronteras inéditas hasta la fecha. En esas fechas (1999) publicaron el álbum Ktulu, grabado en los estudios Lorentzo Records en Bérriz (Vizcaya), contando con la producción de Carlos Córdoba y Aitor Ariño (Platero y tú, Extremoduro, La Polla Records etc.). Este disco combina el metal de sus raíces con las nuevas tecnologías, melodías más marcadas y más registros de voz.
En diciembre del 2000 publican un disco con Dro/Warner de versiones de grupos tan diferentes como Portishead, Jimi Hendrix y Iron Butterfly llamado 2078" incluyendo en él algunos temas del disco Ktulu remezclados por tres Dj's barceloneses de renombre.
En 2002 contribuyen al disco tributo a Barón Rojo llamado Larga Vida Al... Volumen Brutal con el tema "Satánico plan" y contribuyen en otro recopilatorio del grupo Judas Priest con el tema "The Rage". Entre este año y el 2004 el grupo se toma un descanso.
Ktulu edita su séptimo LP Show Caníbal (2008) con la distribución de Maldito Records y graban un vídeo de su tema “Vuestras guerras”. Este es sin dudas, el trabajo más experimental del grupo.
En 2009 publican en exclusiva para Itunes un solo tema cantado en inglés llamado "Linkslaved".
En 2011 editan su octavo trabajo CD/DVD Visión en la Casa del Caníbal (2011), su primer directo oficial de audio y vídeo grabado en Barcelona, en el que la banda despliega toda su potencia. El CD contiene 17 pistas y el DVD 14 vídeos del directo, un corto de aproximadamente media hora de imágenes en gira y 16 versiones de otras bandas.
Es en el mismo 2011 cuando Ktulu negocia con Avispa music y empieza a trabajar en el noveno disco. Después de unos meses de trabajo en estudio, nace el nuevo disco resultando uno de los más potentes de toda la carrera de la banda. Makinal, que sale a la venta en 2012, es el último trabajo de la banda y es bautizado con toda la experiencia musical del grupo. Muy especial en muchos aspectos, desde el artwork hasta la música.
El 21 de mayo de 2017, el grupo actuó en el concierto solidario No Callarem celebrado en el Parque del Gran Sol de Llefià, a favor de la libertad de expresión y de los derechos humanos y en contra de la censura.2
En diciembre de 2018 salió a la venta el libro Pura vida: la historia de Ktulu, escrito por Iván Allué. En él se repasan los más de treinta años de actividad musical de la banda, con una exhaustiva información sobre el grupo y sus pormenores.
