Repulsive Assault Compilation Vol. 2 (1997) [Promo]

Murder Corporation

Formed in 1995 as a side project of the band Deranged.  The band signed a three-album deal with the American label Necropolis Records just to "break up" in June of 2002. The members almost immediately started a new band called Killaman with Rune from Reclusion on vocals.

 Haemorrhage

Influenced by the rising grind/death metal scene of the late 80s, Luisma and Jose had the idea of forming a band in 1990 that would eventually become Haemorrhage.

Severance

The band formed in May of 1989 under the name Rest in Pain. One of their gigs under that name (possibly the first) took place early the following month, with Devastation, Dead Horse, and Cranial Torment. In January '90 they changed their moniker to Severance, and released a 3-song rehearsal demo. The later part of 1991 marked the release of their five-song demo Afterbirth of Infamy. After several months of promoting this release, Drowned Productions, later known as Repulse Records, approached the band to do a 7" single in 1992. This two-song vinyl release titled Abysmal Ascent gained the band worldwide recognition.

For the next 4 years the band underwent several line-up changes that altered their ability to progress any further. During these four years of struggling to keep the band alive, they were busy doing interviews with magazines, appearing on radio programs in over ten different countries, and answering hundreds of letters from supporters. The band continued to write music and rehearse even though a solid line-up had yet to be established.

 Unnatural

Unnatural is considered one of the best Death Metal bands in Spain. Its history dates back to the band Detestor in 1990, where Miguel, Sonia and Franco were already members, who decided to start a new musical phase in 1992 with the name Unnatural, thus beginning their first recordings, such as the promos released in 1992 and 1993, which aroused the interest of Javier Abreu's Man Records to embark on the mythical shared “Avowals” from 1994 with Dismal and Absorbed. Unnatural began to arouse the interest of both national and international media since this band stood out with that twisted Death Metal in a line purely to Gorguts and Immolation (early times), another 95 promo arrived and the renowned "False Light Garden" from 1996 where they already spoke wonders of them, the icing on the cake came in 1997 with the acclaimed EP "Throne of Angue". Unnatural found themselves among the national elite and suddenly the band broke up in 1998 without any explanation. In 2004 Burning Dogma released a compilation with their best material on the CD ''Life''.

Anasarca

Death metal from Germany since 1995. Released three albums between 1998 and 2004. The releases convinced the listener by being brutal and technical with a well-laboured songwriting. On "Moribund" they added some melodies, making this album one of the best German Death Metal releases in the new millennium. Another fact making this band something special were the lyrics of the last two outputs. They were written by death row inmates ("Moribund") or by terminally ill people ("Dying").

Defiled

Guitarist and remaining founding member Yusuke Sumita brings Defiled to life in union with vocalist Hideki Fujimoto, Norihisa Fukuda on bass and drummer Naoki Akamatsu as early as 1992. The Japanese derive part of their inspiration from early Death Metal and the famous Florida style as pioneered by Death and Morbid Angel in particular. What makes Defiled's sound unique are the influences coming from their surroundings. Hailing from Tokyo the band draws from the brutality and cyber tech atmosphere of this madly sprawling metropolis.

Although have only two demos and their EP Defeat of Sanity” released they quickly acquire a massive reputation for their hart hitting and devastating live shows. As a result Defiled receive an opening slot for Cannibal Corpse in their homeland in 1996 and two years later they are called to the US to tour with Incantation. Also in 1998 the band joins Morbid Angel, Testament, Vader and Arch Enemy in Japan. With these and other international tours Defiled gain a large fan base and worldwide publicity.

When their long anticipated first album “Erupted Wrath” is finally unleashed in the year 1999 it hits the scene with a big impact. Mixed by genre legend Jim Morris in Tampa, Florida the debut receives critical acclaim and leads to an invitation to the prestigious Milwaukee Metalfest, which makes Defiled the first Japanese band to have this honour. This example is followed by the New Jersey Metal Meltdown, which they play for four consecutive years and in the year 2000 the band tours Europe with Dementor. Meanwhile Yuichi Ishiguro has replaced Naoki Akamatsu on drums.

The follow up “Ugliness Revealed” (2001) is once more mixed at Morrisound Recordings and broadens the international success of Defiled. The Japanese are now aiming towards a more avant-garde sound and especially this album is known for intelligent chaos on a high quality level. More successful tours and shows around the globe are being performed by this restless group.

Yet it is their third album “Divination” mixed again by Jim Morris, which breaks new ground for Defiled. Their first release on Season of Mist sees the band touring through 19 European countries with dark Norwegian legends Mayhem to great success in 2004 among other journeys. The Japanese deliver a compact and cunning brutal Death Metal attack from the East, but due to major changes in the line-up that leave guitarist Yusuke Sumita looking for new members all activities are slowed for a while. Singer Hideki Fujimoto is replaced on the microphone by Kenji Sato, while Norihisa Fukuda hands over his bass duties to Haruhisa Takahata. The drum stool proves to be a hot seat for some years to come until Takahiro Okada joins in 2009.

Despite the changes Defiled continue to play headline tour throughout the next years. In 2007 the band hits Australia for the first time and also plays a Korean tour, which is exciting news considering that Japanese culture was officially banned in that country. An Asian tour follows in 2008 with Taiwan, Philippines, Singapore, Vietnam, Thailand, China, Hongkong, Macau and Japan receiving a visit. In 2010 Defiled return to Korea, travel through the US and Mexico with Infinitum Obscure and embark on their second Asian tour including Indonesia, Singapore and Malaysia, before playing more shows in Japan.

During 2010 the Japanese also record their fourth album “In Crisis”. The Japanese are ready to enter a new dimension and for the first time work with legendary engineer Bill Metoyer, who is known for his collaboration with Slayer, Sacred Reich and Sadus among many others. Defiled were aiming for something special. “We wanted to get away from those conservative well polished crystal clear sounds”, states Yusuke. “Instead we opted for more organic vibration and sound pressure that you can find in Stoner Rock.” The artwork is provided by Wes Benscoter, whose bizarre airbrush paintings have been employed as cover artwork by Slayer, Mortician, Sinister and Black Sabbath and other Metal icons.

Christ Denied

Christ Denied exists since 1994 and stands for 90's Brutal Death, no modern slam or core stuff. Their live shows are minimalistic, dark red atmosphere. No long hairs, no jumping, no smiles, no words, no trendy multicoloured merchandise... Just heavy, brutal and crushing riffs, hellish blasts and insane multi-gutturals. They are not your typical Brutal Death band.

Infamy

US Death Metal/Grindcore band formed in 1995. The original Infamy line-up consisted of Memo and James from Entity, Joshua / Jagger from Brainstorm and Eddie from Preacher. ''Gates of Purgatory'' demo were their last recording in 2005.

Corpus Mortale

Corpus Mortale from Denmark plays raw, aggressive death metal.
After 10 years in the underground, the band finally released their debut album in November 2003. "With Lewd Demeanor" was released on the Dutch label Neurotic Records. The album was supported by a 20-date European tour together with fellow Danes Konkhra & Illnath. In advance of the second album, Greek underground label Nuclear Winter Records released the EP "Seize the Moment of Murder" on 7" vinyl in late 2006. A year later, "A New Species of Deviant" was released (November 2007 in North America on Willowtip Records and February 2008 in Europe on Neurotic Records). The band successfully completed an extensive 4 week European tour, performing alongside Nile, Grave, Krisiun and Ulcerate.

In 2010/2011, the band  writed and recording their third album, which marked a new era for the band. The style is more focused and to the point. The band has finally gotten the massive sound that previous recordings lacked. "FleshCraft" was recorded at Antfarm Studio (The Haunted, Vader, Kataklysm, etc.) and StarStruck Studio and was ultimately mixed and mastered by long-time live sound engineer and producer Jacob Olsen at his JBO Sound Studio (Panzerchrist, Crocell, etc.).

 Morpheus Descends

Morpheus Descends is a death metal band that first formed in Middletown, New York in October 31, 1990 under the name of Morpheus. The lineup at the time consisted of bassist Ken Faggio, drummer Sam Inzerra, vocalist Craig Campbell, guitarist Rob Yench, and Steve Hanson. Later changed it to Morpheus Descends in 1992. The band signed with JL America in 1992 and released their first full-length album, ''Ritual of Infinity'', that same year. They disbanded in 1998. As of January 2013, the band is active once again with the original Morpheus lineup.

Akerbeltz - Tabellae Defixionum (2001)

''Akerbeltz was formed from the beginning by Lilith & Akerbeltz. After a time, Lilith decided not to continue any more as the drummer of this band, and Akerbeltz continued the musical trajectory by him self, playing all the instruments. In October, XXXII anno SATANNA, this recording appears from the depths of an insane mind with rage and metal. This recording is an ode to the creatures of SATAN, and his followers, Nature’s powers, and those whom take pervasion as a way of life, as long as there is a common accord. In this recording they appear various session musicians such as Lilith, Fúnebre, Isnack & Janis. In October XXXIII anno SATANNA, I enter the studio again to record “A Wave Of Darkness”, this time with no session musicians, apart from the inimitable voice of Lilith, that appears in some macabre passages of the record. After a short time, Metal Millenium was interested and they edited this record. I’ve collaborated in the arising of the first Black Metal band that there has been in this country, BEHEADED LAMB… with the recording of a split Cd with the Finish band Azaghal released through Metal Millenium again. After a while I recorded Tabellae Defixionum and Akerhell, the both through Metal Millenium. After Akerhell was recorded I had the opportunity to release finally the demo “Spreading the eternal mayhem” recorded in the ’98 anno bastardi through Blut und Eisen, this time with two bonus track. Shortly after we released with Beheaded Lamb our full length Cd “A Grave To This World”. After the Akerhell was recorded, Lilith formed HARRIDAN with which we recorded in the Redrum Studio the Lugubrious Necromancer demo and the Tales Of The Unholy, this one with the collaboration of Daemonus Von Anthian, former of Winter Frost that also had recorded previously the intro and the outro of the Akerhell; both the demos where released through my own label SATANIK RECORDS in Cdr, after a while Chaos Productions where interested in it and they also released them in tape; also the Australian label Smell The Stench released a limited edition… After this I recorded a split 7ep with the French band Armageddon though Chaos Productions. Shortly after the whole edition was out and we had to release it again through Undercover Records from Germany. In the 2004 Anno Bastardi I released the Never Deny From The Powers Of Sorcery Cd recorded with an 8track recorder through the American label Last Rights, the song from the 7ep was added to this work as we had a lack of recording time for it. In the 2005 Harridan was again releasing both the demos in a new format and this time with a bonus track and with professional cover and remastered through the Spanish label Oniric Records. In the 2006 I played live in Germany in the Under The Black Sun Festival with the Spanish band Amnion as session musicians. In the 2007 a 4way split Lp was released through the Spanish label Oniric records again with two tracks recorded in the Redrum Studio. In the 2010 "Infernuko Erreka" was released through Oniric records, this recording is original from the 2009. In the 2010 I recorded the "Ye elder sign" it's 4 tracks in a split with the american band Satanik Supremacy. This year I also recorded 2 more tracks that will appear in a worldwide split. I also recorded the drums for the french band Sale Freux (France).''

Nachtmystium - Demise (2004)

Nachtmystium was an American psychedelic black metal band formed by Blake Judd, formerly known as Azentrius, and Pat McCormick. The band's name is derived from the German word Nacht meaning "night", and the made-up term mystium which resembles the Latin adjective mysticum. Judd and McCormick combined the words to create the band's name, which they state means "Encompassing Darkness". Nachtmystium released multiple critically praised albums between 2005 and 2012, including Instinct: Decay (2005), Assassins: Black Meddle, Part I (2008), and Silencing Machine (2012).

Controversy marred the band's success in 2013 when Judd was arrested for theft charges and publicly admitted he had a severe drug problem. Nachtmystium went on a four-year hiatus until 2017, when Judd reformed the band to record new studio material and perform at four concerts. Judd ultimately disbanded Nachtmystium in 2020.

Nachtmystium was founded by Blake Judd and Pat McCormick as a side project. The band was heavily influenced by second-wave black metal bands, such as Darkthrone and Burzum, evidenced in their low-fi first release Reign of the Malicious in 2002. The band's next release, Demise (2004), was described by Judd as
Nachtmystium's "last straight forward 'raw black metal' record." The band's following two releases, Eulogy IV (2004) and Instinct: Decay (2006), incorporated psychedelic and experimental musical elements that were pioneered by bands like Black Sabbath, The Doors and Pink Floyd. Instinct: Decay received general positive feedback from critics. The band released Assassins: Black Meddle, Part I on June 10, 2008, in America. The album received a generally positive critical reception.

Assassins' success caused the band's popularity to increase.
Nachtmystium played their first Scandinavian show in Bergen, Norway at the 2008 Hole in the Sky festival with At the Gates, Municipal Waste, and Meshuggah. Nachtmystium toured with Opeth, Baroness, and High on Fire for the first half of their American tour. In 2009, the band released a remastered version of Demise, with two extra tracks and also released a new EP, entitled Doomsday Derelicts. The band experienced two major setbacks in February and March 2009. Nachtmystium was forced to withdraw from the Scion Rock Fest in Atlanta, Georgia due to alleged connections to National Socialist black metal. Later that month, Judd injured his leg, forcing the band to cancel their tour with The Haunted.

In September 2009,
Nachtmystium announced plans to release a follow-up album to Assassins: Black Meddle, Part I with an album titled Addicts: Black Meddle, Part II. Judd commented that the album would feature new material with "more of a rock and roll edge over all", and reflect the bands interest in post-rock and industrial music. The album debuted on June 8, 2010. The band played at the Inferno Festival in Oslo, Norway on April 3, 2010, where they shared the stage with Mayhem, Finntroll, and Taake. Also toured across the United States with Cradle of Filth and Turisas in early 2011.

Nachtmystium began recording for their new album in early 2011. The progress of the album was impeded by the departure of Judd's longtime band mate and friend, Jeff Wilson, who left Nachtmystium for personal reasons. Finally, in 2012, Nachtmystium released their sixth full-length studio album, Silencing Machine. The album marked a departure from the band's previous two Black Meddle albums. Judd described the album as "a follow-up to Instinct: Decay". He further stated that the album has "still some psychedelic vibes here and there, but overall it's much more on par towards our older material". Silencing Machine was positively received by critics.

The band resumed production on a new studio album during the summer of 2013. However, Judd was arrested on October 5, 2013, on misdemeanor theft charges. The incident exposed Judd's heroin addiction to the public and forced him to seek drug rehabilitation. Nachtmystium canceled their remaining concerts while Judd focused on completing the band's next album, The World We Left Behind. After finalizing the album, Judd announced Nachtmystium was disbanding after a 13-year run on November 13. The World We Left Behind was released on August 5, 2014. The album garnered mixed critical reception. Critics were polarized by the album's song structure and lyrical composition.

In late August, multiple fans complained that they failed to receive copies of The World We Left Behind that they purchased directly from Judd. Prior to his 2013 arrest, fans accused Judd of failing to fulfill purchase agreements without issuing refunds. Judd stated that he had run out of copies for distribution and was waiting for Century Media to deliver more copies to him. As more and more customers began to question the status of their orders, Judd and
Nachtmystium's Facebook storefronts were abruptly shutdown without any explanation. On September 5, Century Media issued an official statement about the situation and asked fans to contact them directly about unfulfilled orders from Judd. The label also announced that they will no longer work with Nachtmystium to release and distribute new albums. Deadlight Entertainment, a French label that was producing and distributing band merchandise and albums, also announced they were cutting ties with Nachtmystium in wake of Judd's questionable past business practices and recent controversy.

Judd later admitted to selling merchandise to customers without intending to ever fulfill their orders. He claimed to have spent the stolen money on heroin until his scam exposed. In January 2016, Judd resurfaced to apologize to fans and reveal he was no-longer involved with the music industry. In April, Judd posted a compilation of previously unreleased
Nachtmystium recordings and remixes on YouTube. On November 1, Judd announced that Earache Records had acquired the rights to redistribute Nachtmystium's five studio albums, as well as a new compilation album, titled Retox: Remixes and Rarities, which contains several remixes and covers that Judd previously released on YouTube. Judd also announced he would work with Earache Records to resolve unfulfilled merchandise. He released the following statement: "Thank you all for your patience and I do hope to make things right with everyone I can who fell victim to my addiction issues by not receiving orders for music or merchandise. I intend on giving away every single record and CD I receive of these reissues, if that's what it takes, to make things right with the fans whom I wronged and did not fulfill orders for."

In March 2017, Judd announced that the band would re-unite after a four-year hiatus to play four live shows and record a new EP, titled Resilient. The band performed at the "Festum Carnis Open Air Festival" in Wilseyville, California on July 7 and the Louisville Death Fest in Louisville, Kentucky on September 29. While at Festum Carnis, Judd issued refunds to fans he defrauded and offered to reimburse their concert admission fee. Judd announced on September 11 that
Nachtmystium had signed a new record deal with Prophecy Productions to distribute Resilient, which was released in November 2018.

Nachtmystium began working on the third installment of the Black Meddle series in early 2020. However, Judd abruptly disbanded the band on June 14, 2020. He released a statement on the band's official Facebook page explaining his desire to move onto other musical projects and professional endeavors.

Nachtmystium's line-up has frequently changed since its formation. Furthermore, while the band originally started as a black metal band, and even toured with black metal acts such as Angelcorpse, Goatwhore and Watain, Judd has frequently stated that the band should not be considered black metal per se. In an interview with DEAF SPARROW Zine, Judd stated, "What separates us from your average black metal band is that we're NOT a black metal, we're a 'do-whatever-the-fuck-we-want' metal band and black metal happens to be what we build our foundation off of (in the case of Instinct: Decay and its predecessors), if you must categorize the rhythm sections of our music (rhythm guitars, bass and drums — the core of any album)."

Judd recruited Chris Black to produce
Nachtmystium's later albums and compose lyrics. Black's themes and lyrics from Addicts: Black Meddle, Part II were inspired by Judd's heroin addiction. Judd assumed songwriting duties for Nachtmystium's final studio album, The World We Left Behind, and included many lyrics about his personal struggles with addiction.

Nachtmystium's second demo, entitled Unholy Terrorist Cult, was unofficially re-released by Vinland Winds, an American National Socialist black metal (NSBM) record label, in 2001. Vinland Winds made CD-Rs without the band's knowledge and designed their own layout for the CD-Rs that were distributed with different cover art. In 2002, their first full-length album, Reign of the Malicious, was released on Regimental Records and then distributed by Unholy Records, who were an imprint of the white power skinhead label Resistance Records, and dealt mostly with National Socialist black metal bands. Judd claims that upon learning of the arrangement, he did not want Nachtmystium to become associated with a NSBM label, and demanded Resistance Records stop selling the band's albums.

In 2005, Metalreviews.com interviewed Judd to discuss
Nachtmystium's recent work and background. During the interview, Judd dismissed MTV and the mainstream media as "Zionist means of demoralizing young American's [sic] artistic standards." He initially claimed the statement was taken out of context, but later remorsefully acknowledged and renounced his comment.

In 2006, Judd said, "In the past, we've had some indirect ties to labels and bands that are part of the NS scene. At one point not too many years ago, it wasn't uncommon for NS labels or bands to trade and work with non-politically motivated bands and labels because at the end of the day, we're all trying to promote, release, and be involved with music—all politics aside. Today it seems like there's less of a connection, at least for me and my label. We don't oppose people's right to be 'NS' or whatever—that's a personal choice, and if you live in the USA, you have the right to that opinion. Even though I personally, my band(s) and my label have absolutely no interest in being a part of that scene, I will ALWAYS take their side when it comes to their freedom of speech being imposed upon."

Just before the Atlanta, Georgia Scion Rock Fest on Saturday February 28, 2009, the band was forced to cancel at the request of the festival's promoters, and sponsors, Toyota, on Tuesday February 23, 2008, due to an unnamed source, who believed the group was a "Nazi" band. Judd promptly released a statement after the incident, stating, "We will be taking legal action against the people who slandered us in this situation, and in the future will file defamation / slander charges against any person or organization who attempts to prevent us from performing anywhere, especially in the United States. So – let it be known loud and clear for the LAST TIME, we ARE NOT a Nazi band, ARE NOT political, are certainly NOT racists and DO NOT support that world or any band, person or business affiliated with it." He also apologized to
Nachtmystium fans who traveled to the concert to support the band.

Non Opus Dei - Eternal Circle (2010) [promo]

'' 1997 was the year when the being known as Non Opus Dei came into existence. As you can see, it resulted in many years of search. Search connected with both sound and ideas. The album that will be published by Witching Hour is some kind of a summary of the way we have been following all these years. So many years of working together -

Klimorh (guitar, vocals, lyrics) - the founder of the band, Gonzo (drums) - the first album with him was "The Quintessence"Budda (guitar), and Rochu (bass) - both of them joined the band soon after the recording session of "The Quintessence".

After these years of working together, we knew exactly what we wanted to achieve while we were creating such extremity as "Eternal Circle". Once we started composing the new songs, there was no place for any random action. The Eternal Circle of our drummer was set in motion and it did not stop, providing us with extremely fast and massed variety of blasts. Anyway, it is not possible to describe the extremity of this album, you just have to listen to it.
