Brought forth in 1988, Broken Hope was the brainchild of guitarist/chief-lyricist-songwriter, Jeremy Wagner. Though Jeremy was still attending High School, his passion and drive for bringing the band out of obscurity was apparent from the start. In 1989 and 1990, Broken Hope recorded two demo tapes which landed them a deal with the underground label, Grind Core records. In 1991, Broken Hope spewed forth their debut album, Swamped In Gore, which subsequently launched the band out of the underground and into the mainstream. Swamped In Gore was not only ahead of its time musically but it was also the first digitally recorded Death Metal album yet again showing the forward thinking of the then fledgling act.

By 1993, Broken Hope broke away from their first record label and quickly was immediately approached by Metal Blade Records. Broken Hope released four albums with Metal Blade Records: The Bowels of Repugnance, Repulsive Conception, Loathing, and the re-release of Swamped In Gore. 1995’s Repulsive Conception, reached CMJ New Music Monthly‘s Metal Top 25 chart, as did the follow-up, 1997’s Loathing.

The first four albums are stellar examples of the fury and sheer brutality possessed by Broken Hope, and is also the albums that etched Broken Hope’s place in Death Metal history. The first decade for the band was filled with non-stop writing, touring, and constant visibility with each album. Broken Hope’s music has received praise from bands such as SLIPKNOT, DEVILDRIVER, THE BLACK DAHLIA MURDER, DYING FETUS and many more.

By the end of the ‘90’s, Broken Hope produced and released their fifth album: 1999’s, Grotesque Blessings. After North American and European, BH founder—Jeremy Wagner—cleaned house and put Broken Hope into “metal hibernation” in 2002.

In 2007, Broken Hope’s original Loathing lineup sat down face-to-face to discuss reuniting and doing a world tour. Due to personal scheduling conflicts, the guys were unable to make anything happen after this special meeting.

On January 20, 2010, original Broken Hope vocalist Joe Ptacek committed suicide. He was only 37 years old. Before his death, Ptacek met with Jeremy Wagner and Shaun Glass and discussed the resurrection of Broken Hope. With Ptacek’s death, Wagner and Glass took time off to reconsider their next moves.

In 2012, Jeremy Wagner resurrected Broken Hope and vowed to make the band a full-time monster—forever. Broken Hope made their long awaited return to the realm of Death Metal on the highly successful Carnival of Death tour. BH’s high-intensity COD live offerings received top-praise, and confirmed that not only was Broken Hope back, they were also more rabid than ever.

The band went on to perform at the 2013 editions of Extremefest (Germany) and Maryland Death Fest to stellar reviews which leads us to a new chapter in the annals of Broken Hope.

In 2013, Broken Hope put pen to paper and signed a worldwide deal with Century Media Records. Their sixth album, OMEN of DISEASE, released in October 2013 release. OMEN of DISEASE opened with a big first week, hitting #2 most-added at US radio, nearly breaking into the top 10 at CMJ, and with the track “Womb Of Horrors” added as a Flavor Track at Music Choice. OMEN of DISEASE also dropped with nearly 1,100 copies sold in its first week of release.

Trevor Strnad of THE BLACK DAHLIA MURDER makes a guest appearance on backing vocals for the track, “Rendered Into Lard,” and OMEN of DISEASE also features the artwork and return of Broken Hope’s former (and brilliant) album cover artist, Wes Benscoter (SLAYER, KREATOR, MORTICIAN plus many more).

Broken Hope has supported OMEN of DISEASE with non-stop touring over the last year-and-a-half with tours including DEICIDE, IMMOLATION, OCEANO, and festival appearances at BRUTAL ASSAULT, NEUROTIC DEATHFEST, OBSCENE EXTREME, and more.

Recently overhauled their lineup with the addition of Matt Szlachta (ex-CHIMAIRA) on lead-guitars, and bassist, Diego Soria (Disgorge).

Broken Hope
finished their FIRST-EVER “HEADLINE” TOUR across EUROPE last April (2015) and appeared at the OBSCENE EXTREME CZECH and MONTREAL editions.

In September 2015, released their first-ever Live Concert Blu-Ray DVD and Live Album package via CENTURY MEDIA RECORDS. Directed by Tommy Jones (SLAYER, LAMB of GOD, DEATH ANGEL), this Live Concert combo titled, “LIVE DISEASE at BRUTAL ASSAULT,” the Live Blu-Ray and CD capture Broken Hope’s intense and bludgeoning headline set in front of 25,000 fans. The Live CD hit #5 on CMJ’s LOUD ROCK/METAL charts the first week of release with DJ’s and reviewers collectively praising “LIVE DISEASE” as one of the greatest sounding Live CD’s and greatest visual Concert DVD’s in extreme metal.

Broken Hope released their 7th studio album, “MUTILATED and ASSIMILATED,” on June 23rd 2017. This album is their strongest, most citically-acclaimed release to date and has garnered new-perfect scores in METAL HAMMER UK, DECIBEL MAGAZINE, KERRANG! ROCK HARD (DE), SPARK (CZ), and many more.

Immolation was founded after the demise of Rigor Mortis (NY), a band formed in May 1986 by Andrew Sakowicz (bass guitar, vocals) Dave Wilkinson (drums), and Robert Vigna (guitar). After recording the Decomposed and Warriors of Doom demos, Sakowicz left the band in early 1988 and was replaced by Ross Dolan, and the band's name was changed to Immolation. The new lineup put out two studio demos, in 1988 and 1989, and gained a worldwide following in the underground death metal scene. Immolation signed a record deal with Roadrunner Records and released their debut album Dawn of Possession in 1991. After leaving Roadrunner, the band released "Stepping on Angels," a compilation of demo releases and live tracks. In 1995 the band was signed by Metal Blade Records and released three albums: Here in After, Failures for Gods, and Close to a World Below. After their second album, drummer Craig Smilowski left the band and was replaced by Alex Hernandez. Their next three albums, Unholy Cult, Harnessing Ruin, and Shadows in the Light were released by French label Listenable Records and Century Media in the US.

In May 2001, Immolation were the headliners for a tour in Europe with supporting bands: Deranged, Deströyer 666, Decapitated and Soul Demise. Unholy Cult saw the departure of guitarist Thomas Wilkinson and the addition of ex-Angelcorpse guitarist Bill Taylor. Steve Shalaty replaced Hernandez on Harnessing Ruin. In February 2008, Immolation toured the US alongside bands such as Rotting Christ, Belphegor and Averse Sefira. In January and February 2010, the band toured with headliner Nile along with Krisiun, Rose Funeral, and Dreaming Dead.

In March 2010, Immolation released Majesty and Decay through Nuclear Blast. In 2011, they released the 5-track Providence EP through Scion A/V as a free download. In May 2013, Immolation released Kingdom of Conspiracy, again via Nuclear Blast, and toured with Cannibal Corpse and Napalm Death on a tour sponsored by Decibel Magazine. At the end of 2016, Bill Taylor left the band for personal reasons, and was replaced by Alex Bouks. In 2017 Immolation released their tenth full-length album Atonement.

Deathspell Omega - Si Monumentum Requires, Circumspice (2004) Repress [2015]

French black metal band formed in 1998 in Poitiers. The demo Disciples Of The Ultimate Void was released by Drakkar Productions in 1999. Initially, Deathspell Omega produced raw, traditional black metal akin to Darkthrone's Transilvanian Hunger. However, their 2004 release, Si monvmentvm reqvires, circvmspice, marked a change to a vastly more technical, experimental, and well-recorded sound featuring such musical influences as Russian Orthodox chanting and choral music. Their lyrical content deals primarily with Satanism on a metaphysical level  as the band has stated that "all other interpretations of Satan are intellectually invalid" and other various theological topics. They have also released a trilogy of concept albums which focus on the theological aspects of God, Satan and man's relationship with the two.

The band's work after Si Monumentum Requires, Circumspice has been even more experimental and technical, with their output in 2005, Kénôse, "Mass Grave Aesthetics" and "Diabolus absconditus" totaling nearly eighty minutes in length, longer than Si Monumentum Requires, Circumspice.

There is little to no concrete information about Deathspell Omega's lineup, they do not have any official website, social media platform or promotional photos, have never performed live and do not list credits in their releases. Finnish musician Mikko Aspa is most commonly cited as the vocalist. It is known that Hirilorn vocalist Shaxul was Deathspell Omega's vocalist until 2002, and has gone on record as leaving due to displeasure with the band's shift in themes.

Early interviews were deeply critical of the black metal scene, and the last interview they agreed to until 2019 was conducted by their North American label The Ajna Offensive, with questions and answers sent through the band's exclusive label, Norma Evangelium Diaboli, to preserve their identity. In a 2018 interview with Loudwire, Tobias Forge, lead singer of the band Ghost, stated that the French synthwave artist Carpenter Brut (Franck Hueso) was Deathspell Omega's producer.

Napalm Death + Barbarian Prophecies -|- 2013.02.03 Sala El Infierno, Vigo (Esp)

The Death Black Metal band Barbarian Prophecies was formed in 2000 after the fusion of the bands Barbarianth and Venomous Prophecies.
In the beginning they got a place in the underground scene editing a demo called “Conquerors of the Wolfthrone” (2002), the Ep “War is Inminent” (2005) and their first album, “Condemned Land… the War Begins” (2009).
But it was not until 2011 when, after got a stable line up, they published their first fully professional record “Remember the Fallen”, recorded and mixed in the prolific Sadman Studios (Madrid) by Carlos Santos and mastered by Mika Jussila in the Finnvox Studios from Helsinki.
“Remember the Fallen”allowed them touring all over the Spanish geography in several festivals, sharing scene with bands as important as Napalm Death.

Napalm Death was formed in 1981 in West Midlands, England, often credited as pioneers of the grindcore genre. While none of its original members remain in the group, the lineup of vocalist Mark "Barney" Greenway, bassist Shane Embury, guitarist Mitch Harris and drummer Danny Herrera has remained consistent throughout the band's career since the early 1990s.

Their debut album Scum, released in 1987 by Earache Records, has proven very influential in the global metal community. As one of the first albums to be described as 'grindcore', it introduced a new musical style which incorporated elements of hardcore punk and death metal, creating a noise-filled sound that uses heavily distorted, down-tuned guitars, overdrive bass, high-speed tempo, blast beat percussion, vocals consisting of incomprehensible growls or high-pitched shrieks, extremely short songs and social commentary. The band is known for its anti-capitalist, left-wing political views and support for animal liberation.
