Destruction - Release From Agony (1987)

Release from Agony is the third studio album by German thrash metal band Destruction, released in 1988. The album is mostly noted for it's usage of complexity and technicality in the songs. It was the first Destruction album to feature four members. Some of the album's lyrics narrate themes that deal with political topics, such as government and corruption. Others deal with horror themes, like murder and nightmares.

Destruction formed in 1982. They are often credited as one of the Big 4 of the German thrash metal scene, the others being Kreator, Sodom and Tankard. In addition to helping pioneer black metal by containing several elements of what was to become the genre, Destruction was part of the second wave of thrash metal in the late 1980s, along with American bands Testament, Sacred Reich, Death Angel and Dark Angel.

Silencer - Death - Pierce Me (2001) [Reissue] (2012)

Founded in Stockholm by the guitarist Leere in 1995, Silencer grew from being a strictly solo musical project into a black metal duo when the vocalist Nattramn was enlisted. At the end of 1998, Silencer released a one-track demo, Death - Pierce Me, with the session drummer Jonas Mattsson of Nominon, that attained them a deal with the German label Prophecy Productions in 1999. The recordings took place during July 2000 with Steve Wolz (Bethlehem, Angel, Imperia) on drums. The full-length, also entitled Death - Pierce Me, was released one year later in October 2001, by which time the group had already disbanded. A vinyl version was also released in a limited number of 200 copies.

According to rumours, Nattramn was institutionalised. In 2005 Leere (a.k.a. Casado) joined the Swedish black metal band Shining, whom he already had a close connection with from the past. By the end of the year, after some touring, Casado left Shining. In the years to come within the black metal underground, although defunct, Silencer gained somewhat of a cult status.

The band split up supposedly because Nattramn was institutionalised, but apparently he returned with an industrial/dark ambient project called Diagnose: Lebensgefahr.

Vasaeleth & Vorum - Profane Limbs Of Ruinous Death [split] (2010)

VASAELETH

The band was created in 2008 between  Atlanta, Georgia-based multi-instrumentalist O.A. and Dallas, Texas-based drummer Antinom.

The band is influenced by old school death metal bands such as Incantation, Immolation, Rottrevore, Demoncy, and Nihilist.

Before founding Vasaeleth, O.A. and Antinom have known each other for over six years from their work in other projects, including Legions of Astaroth and Dagon, respectively. Despite the distance between Georgia and Texas, O.A. and Antinom, ended up performing at common concerts and festivals quite often and have stayed in frequent contact ever since. O.A. and Antinom formed Vasaeleth due to their desires to work with atmospheres and themes not found in their respective other projects.

On April 17, 2009
Vasaeleth released a two-track cassette demo titled Demo MMIX, which was released through Satanic Skinhead Propaganda in a limited edition of 200 hand-numbered copies. The demo featured the songs "Figures of Chained Spirits" and "Adorned and Iridescent". These were the first two songs that O.A. and Antinom recorded as a band and were meant to stand as a sort of "mission statement" for Vasaeleth. Originally, O.A. and Antinom had intended on releasing the demo themselves, but, upon hearing it, Satanic Skinhead Propaganda decided to release it. The reaction to the demo was described by O.A. and Antinom as "overwhelmingly positive", as they noted that it sold out in six days.

Vasaeleth then released the Adorned & Iridescent 7" EP, which consisted of the two Demo MMIX songs plus one exclusive track, "Unmanifest". Adorned & Iridescent was released on 9 January 2010 by Satanic Skinhead Propaganda and Blood Harvest Records. Vasaeleth completed work on its full-length debut studio album Crypt Born & Tethered to Ruin in December 2009. Meanwhile, Vasaeleth was signed by Profound Lore Records and arranged for Colin Marston to master the recording. Crypt Born & Tethered to Ruin was released on February 16, 2010 through Profound Lore. In 2013, Vasaeleth released the All Uproarious Darkness EP, again on Profound Lore Records.

VORUM

Vorum was a death metal band hailing from Mariehamn, Åland Islands and came to existence in the winter of 2006. The three members J.Johansson, M. Jalava and M. Josefsson started rehearsing almost daily and began focusing on writing songs. After a while the band (then under the moniker of Haudankaivaja) did a demo in the summer of 2007 wich contained 7 songs and was recorded by M. Josefssons brother Jesper. This demo was never officially released. The band played a few gigs in Mariehamn and in late February of 2008, Vorum went to Panu Posti to record a new demo that later came to gather some attention. The demo of 2008 was well received in reviews on internet fanzines like Imperiumi. net but as well in magazines such as Miasma, and a few cd-r demos was sent out to people who asked for it. Vorum has had some radio plays in the YleX Metalliliitto show and was seen on the front cover of the finnish metal/rock magazine “Inferno”. The EP “Grim Death Awaits” (2009) it's the band's first official release.

After the dissolution of Vorum in 2018, members Jonatan and Mikko went on to form Concrete Winds in 2019.
