Marduk - Nigthwing (1998) [reissue + bonus dvd, 2008]

Nightwing is the fifth studio album by Swedish black metal band Marduk. It was recorded and mixed at The Abyss between October and November 1997 and released in April 1998 by Osmose Productions. The theme of the album was blood, as the band's following studio albums Panzer Division Marduk would be war, and La Grande Danse Macabre would be death, forming a trilogy of "Blood, War and Death," Marduk's vision of what black metal is.

On Nightwing, the theme is blood, divided in two parts: The first in the satanic ways customary of Marduk's lyrics, but the second part tells the history of Vlad 'Tepes' Drakul, the Impaler of Wallachia who fought against the Ottoman invasion on Europe, giving continuity to the history started on "Deme Quaden Thyrane", a track from their third studio album, Opus Nocturne, and continued with "Dracul Va Domni Din Nou In Transylvania" from Heaven Shall Burn... When We Are Gathered. "Deme Quaden Thyrane" appears also here, rearranged, with Legion's vocals and a little change in the lyrics at the end.

In 2008, Nightwing was re-released with a new mastering, an alternative cover artwork and a live DVD of a show in Rotterdam 1998.

Marduk ‎- World Funeral (2003) [Box set 2006]

World Funeral is the eighth studio album by Swedish black metal band Marduk. It was recorded and mixed at The Abyss between September and November and was released on March 25, 2003 by Regain Records. The track listing of the album is organized as to create a dynamic change of paces and atmospheres, the tracks generally alternating between a fast, slow, fast, etc. pattern.

Balancing fast tracks with mid-paced tracks, it was a disappointment for fans expecting another head-to-toe fast album a la Panzer Division Marduk. Many fans suggested the band was going for a more commercial "mainstream" approach while others complimented their attempt to broaden their sound. World Funeral is the first Marduk album to feature Emil Draguntinović on drums, the last to feature Legion on vocals and B. War on bass, and the last to feature mixing by Peter Tägtgren.

The group has gathered legions of fans with their electrifying concerts all over Brazil, Latin America and even hitting upon Europe as well. Torture Squad have played with great bands such as Anthrax, Dimmu Borgir, Kreator, Tristania, Krisiun, Monstrosity, Incantation, Dark Funeral, Absu, Desaster, HeadHunter, Holy Moses, Sodom, Origin, Exodus, Angra, Shaaman, Korzus , Overkill, Sepultura, Soulfly , Gama Bomb among others…

The band’s first line-up was, Vitor Rodrigues (vocals), Cristiano Fusco (guitar), Castor (Bass) and Amilcar Christofaro (Drums).

Torture Squad released their debut album, “Shivering”, in 1998 and it was quickly followed by their 1999 sophomore album, “Asylum of Shadows”. Proving to be a landmark album for the band, it launched them into Europe to play 7 dates in Germany, giving the European metal scene a true taste of Brazilian metal.

In 2001, Torture Squad released their third album, “The Unholy Spell”, which was elected by audiences and Brazilian metal magazines as one of the 5 best Brazilian metal albums ever released! In this same year, the band shot their first video for the song “Abduction Was the Case”, which was showcased on Brazil’s MTV.

The following year saw the departure of guitarist Cristiano Fusco, who left the band due to personal reasons. Joining the ranks of Torture Squad was former Krisiun axe-man Mauricio Nogueira.

2003 arrived and Torture Squad released the acclaimed album “Pandemonium”. Since the release of this album, it has drawn fans from all over the world. An album that has been highly praised, elected by Roadie Crew Magazine, one of the biggest metal magazines in Brazil, as the best Brazilian metal album in 2003! It also got Torture Squad voted to be the headliners of Brazil Metal Union Fest, a great and important Brazilian metal festival at DirecTV Music Hall, São Paulo, Brazil. From webzines, to metal magazines all over the world, “Pandemonium” was indeed taking place.

Between 2004-2005, Torture Squad would release their first live CD and DVD, “Death, Chaos And Torture Alive”, and played throughout Brazil for almost two years.

In 2006, the band returned to Europe for 18 concerts between Germany and Austria including one gig at Musikmesse in Frankfurt Germany, which is the biggest music fair of Europe! When Torture Squad returned to Brazil, crowds of over 10,000 people came to see Torture Squad at the Porão do Rock Fest Brasília/DF. The return home also marked the third time they would perform at the Brazilian Metal Union.

This followed the “Death, Chaos and Torture Alive” tour which was an extensive one over American Latin territories like Paraguay, Chile, Peru, Ecuador, Colombia and Panama. During this time, the band was working on their next chapter in new music.

In November 2006, the band released the EP “Chaos Corporation”. The EP featured 2 brand new tracks, “Chaos Corporation” and “The Beast Within”, plus 3 bonus tracks from their 1993 demo tape “A Soul In Hell”.

In June 2007, Torture Squad was chosen (after winning the local Metal Battle) to represent Brazil in the Wacken Open Air Festival to take place August 2-4, 2007 in Wacken, Germany. Then, once at Wacken Open Air they played in the Metal Battle (at the W.E.T. Stage) with several other bands, having won the contest. With that, they won prizes along with a contract with Wacken Records from Germany which released their 2008 album, Hellbound.

In January 2008, Mauricio Nogueira leaves Torture Squad and Augusto Lopes joined the band.
In 2008, Torture Squad embarked on a 60-date European tour, which included a show at Wacken Open Air.

The year of 2009 started pretty well for Torture Squad. After the release of Hellbound and its excellent worldwide repercussion, the band toured Europe with two legends of thrash metal, Overkill and Exodus. This tour started in mid February in London, where the Brazilian group performs for the first time, and includes 12 more shows in countries like Spain, Germany, Italy, Holland, Switzerland and Czech Republic.

Their most recent studio album “AEquilibrium” was released in Europe in August 2010 by Wacken Records / H'art / Zebralution / SAOL and in Brazil by Laser Company in September the same year . They had recorded a new version for the title track of their third album “ The Unholy Spell” which is included as bonus track with the title of “ The Unholy Spell 2010”. The album was recorded in São Paulo/Brazil, at Norcal Studios with producers Brendan Duffey and Adriano Daga.
In January 2011, the guitarrist Augusto Lopes leaves the band and André Evaristo is hired as official member of Torture Squad to replace him.

In spite of the line up change, things didn’t stop for the band. With the new guitar player, the band stayed on road in Brazil 'till July.

A month later the band crossed the Atlantic Ocean for the European leg of the Aequilibrium Tour 2011. Torture Squad appeared for the third time at Wacken Open Air, and performed more than 40 shows around 12 countries till the end of October.

Returning to Brazil, once more a set of dates were on the pipeline, two of those were highlights: The first one at the band’s hometown São Paulo, as they were invited by Overkill themselves to join them on the bill and the second one was the bands very first time in the state of Amapá one of the most remote states of the Brazilian territory headlining the Rock day at the Quebramar Festival in Macapá.

In march 2012, after 19 years in the line up, the lead singer Vitor Rodrigues decided to leave the band. Since then, the band became a trio with the guitar player André Evaristo singing too.

On August 10th of the same year the band was invited to headline the first night of one of the most prestigious Festivals in South America "Quito Fest 2012" that takes place in Equador's capital Quito, where the band played in front of 12000 people.

Esquadrão de Tortura, their 7th studio album, was released on november, 2013.

In 2014 in July / August, the band do their second South American tour with thirteen shows in four countries; Chile, Peru, Ecuador and Paraguay. Finishing the year in their hometown Sao Paulo / SP on December, 20th ,recording its show to be released on DVD and CD intitled “Coup d´État Live”, set to be launched in the middle of 2015.

In September 2015, vocalist / guitarist André Evaristo leaves Torture Squad to pursue other personal projects, therefore, the band back to its traditional line-up as a quartet bringing Mayara "Undead" Puertas on vocals and Rene Simionato on guitar, continuing the tour of cd and dvd "Coup D´État Live".

Already with their new line up, the band goes to studio to record the EP “Return of Evil”, with four songs: the new “Return of Evil”, “Swallow Your Reality” and “Iron Squad”, and the new version of “Dreadful Lies”, originally released in the1998 first album “Shivering”. The EP will also have a multimedia track with the video clip of “Return of the Evil” and a mini documentary of the EP recording sessions, and the videos of “Dreadful Lies” and “Iron Squad” released on March, 2016

In September 2016, the band made a historic tour in Brazil playing 28 gigs in 32 days throughout the country from north to south. Soon after the Brazilian tour, the band goes to an european tour doing 19 gigs passing by 7 countries.

The Return of Evil tour finishes in February 2017, doing 13 shows during 16 days in the country side of São Paulo and Paraná.

Aryan Blood & Satanic Warmaster - Aryan Blood / Satanic Warmaster [split] (2007)

Aryan Blood

NSBM band from Germany. Formed in 1998 by Negrobutcher. They have released three demos: 'Demo 1' in 1998, 'Eternal Strife' during the same year, and 'Aryan Blood' in 1999.
They also have five splits with Capricornus, Eisenwinter, Evil (Bra), Satanic Warmaster and a four-way split entitled 'Germeinschaftstontraeger' with Flammentod, The True Frost, and Nordreich. A new split with the German nsbm band Tustra was set to be released in July 2011, but has suffered delays due to the temporary imprisonment of Pride (half of Tustra) for various counts of vandalism and violence.

Satanic Warmaster:

Werwolf bestowed life upon Satanic Warmaster in the year of infamy 1998, in order to finally realize his true expression in art, prepared for by years of battles in crafting unholy Finnish Black Metal in other hordes. Though men and their minds never cease to evolve, the core principles of Satanic Warmaster that were laid out in the brief ritualistic exhortations of the cult demo "Bloody Ritual" recorded in 1999 A.S. have never changed in essence. While forgotten and dreaded because of its unforgiving nature, this release laid out the symbols and signs of initiation to the pact with Satan, which remains the original source of revelation for Satanic Warmaster. Around the same time, Werwolf explored a more triumphant, militant and Germanic musical style with demo "Marsch Zu Neuen Zeitaltern" 1999 A.S. and while the concept of this demo would have only a little resemblance with Satanic Warmaster's intentions, it was important in forging the pattern of melodies used in the hymns that Satanic Warmaster composes in the name of Satan.

Entombed - Left Hand Path (1990) [Remastered 2017]

Entombed is a Swedish death metal band formed in 1987 under the name of Nihilist. Entombed began their career as an early pioneer of Scandinavian death metal which initially differed from its American counterpart by its distinct "buzzsaw" guitar tone. However, by the early 1990s their sound had broadened to include garage rock and other influences. This new style would eventually be described as death 'n' roll. Entombed has been influenced by bands such as Slayer, Black Sabbath, Celtic Frost, Autopsy, Repulsion, Kiss, The Misfits, Motörhead and Discharge. Along with Dismember, Grave and Unleashed, Entombed has been refered to as one of the "big four" of Swedish death metal.

Sinister - The Carnage Ending (2012) [LP 2015]

Starting in 1989, Sinister was a band arising in the middle of the Death-Metal hype. Mike, André, Aad en Ron were joining forces and the Sinister sound was born. After releasing a demo, which sold about 1500 copies, a promo tape followed. Sending out the promo to various labels resulted in signing up at Nuclear Blast Records, Germany 1991. Their debut CD 'Cross the Styx' saw the light in early 1992, and sold many copies worldwide. Many live shows all over Europe followed. Touring with bands like Suffocation, Cannibal Corpse and Deicide increased the number of people knowing Sinister.

In the years after that,
Sinister succeeded in maintaining their popularity by releasing their second and third album 'Diabolical Summoning' (1993) and 'Hate' (1995) and doing many live shows all over Europe and a very successful 55 show-tour through all the USA.

At the end of this period, Death-Metal got less popular, lots of Death-Metal fans switched over to Black-Metal, Gothic and other atmospherically music. Sinister never thought about playing other music than their favorite; Death-Metal. Some years passed and the band released their mini-CD 'Bastard Saints' (1996), and played a few live-shows. Several line-up changes followed, and led Sinister to write their most aggressive brutal and intense album so far 'Aggressive Measures' (1998).

These time their presence in Death-Metal paid off. Death-Metal is back, where for Sinister it never left. The response from fans and critics where good. Sinister sold lots of albums and played lots of good shows, of which a short US-tour and good festivals like Wacken open air, Milwaukee Metal fest and Czech Dynamo blessed their way. Yet the cooperation between Sinister and vocalist Eric didn't work out very well, which lead to Eric's departure in August 1999. Sinister was searching for a new singer. After some serious tryouts with different singers, Rachel came out best and the band started concentrating on the next record. 'Creative Killings' was released at Hammerheart Records, September 2001. Shortly, after the release guitarist Bart decided to quit the band. A replacement was found in Pascal. The album was promoted with shows in Russia, Belarus and a 26 show tour across the rest of Europe.

In 2002 Sinister decided to join forces again with Nuclear Blast records. The result is the release of their album 'Savage or Grace'.
The album was massively promoted through shows in Mexico, Columbia and a two week tour with Cannibal Corpse across Europe.

After a short split Sinister reformed in March/April 2005 due to letters from the fans around the world. A slight position change though. Former bassist Alex Paul moved to guitar, drummer Aad moved to vocals and newcomer Paul on drums. After the recordings of ‘Afterburner’, several promotional gigs, and after launching there DVD ‘Prophecies Denied’, which was taken in Poland, Paul left the band in late 2007 to pursue other interests.

A new record deal was signed with MASSACRE Records for an album to be recorded in May 2008 titled "THE SILENT HOWLING" with Edwin van den Eeden on drums. The ‘Legacy of Ashes’ album, recorded in 2010, would be the last with Edwin and Alex. After some shows in South-Africa and Russia the band parted ways because of different opinions in the band.

Aad didn’t hesitate and immediately he called his mates from project band Absurd Universe; Toep, Bastiaan, Mathijs and Dennis. Bastiaan, Aad and Toep knew each other already from the band Supreme pain. With this band they recorded ‘Nemesis Enforcer’. Toep and Dennis knew each-other also from their cooperation in former bands, like Putrefied. Bastiaan and Mathijs are brothers … So, putting this band together again with these guys, was just as logical as it could probably be.

In 2011 they started with recordings of ‘The Carnage Ending’ in Soundlodge with Jorg Uken. The band had to prove itself more than ever, after a serious lineup change. But the reactions were amazingly good and positive. With this record the band was back on track. Fans were even referring to Cross the Styx and the beginning of Sinister. Also with bookings agency D19, Sinister was able to play big shows and festivals like; 70.000 tons of metal cruise, Hell fest, Extreme Hate Festival Brazil and Eindhoven Metal Meeting.

After touring the Balkans and many festival shows in Italy and Germany, Sinister did not rest but started writing songs for the monster album ‘The Post-Apocalyptic Servant’, a CD which can be considered as the fastest and hardest work ever from Sinister. In 2014 recordings in Soundlodge were completed and Sinister started to promote this CD with a tour in Australia and many club shows in Europe. The critics were again amazingly good!!

After launching the 7 ”EP ‘The Unborn Dead’, containing two cover songs of Novembers Doom and Grotesque in 2014, Sinister recorded a complete cover CD to celebrate the existence of the band for 25 years, not counting the breakup for two years. This CD was entitled ‘Dark Memorials’ and came out in 2015 and got great responses!

Heading for a new CD in 2017, Mathijs was forced to stop the band due to personal conditions and not much later the same applies for Bastiaan. Luckily Alesa (Aad’s wife) was able to help the band with their mini tour in Brazil and some other great festivals in 2016 as Summer Dying Loud in Poland, gigs in Portugal and Spain, and so on. With Ricardo Falcon on guitar Sinister is on full strength again, for the live and shows and to work on the new songs for ‘Syncretism’, as Bastiaan stayed on the bands side to take responsibility for the 2/3 of the guitar parts on ‘Syncretism’. In November 2016 recordings were done at Soundlodge with Jorg Uken again !! A majestic dark album with 100% pure Death metal will be released in 2017.

In 2017 Sinister played at some great festivals as Netherlands Death Fest, In Flammen, Speed fest, Rockstad, Metal Days, Obscene Extreme and many others!
To start with a steady line up for all shows and the future, Ghislain van der Stelt is recruited on bass guitar to join the squad!!
