Devastator - Nuclear Proliferation (2006)

Devastator were a Black/Thrash Metal band from South Florida made up of members of Cuban nationality. These known warriors of underground Black and Roll and old school Thrash Metal remain in the leadership of this kind in the United States. Its sharp and synchronized guitars and aggressive drums invoke us with some Teutonic metal and early Venom, Bathory, Celtic Frost, and a little flirting of the traditional Greek Black Metal from the early 90's.

Devastator was started in 2001. Their first release was a demo entitled "Infernal Devastation", and had five hymns of war brought to light by the North American label "Regimental Records." Their first full length album was "The End", produced by Regimental Records and re-edited in 2011 by its current North American label "Old Cemetery Records." However, their first significant mark on the underground scene and true old school Metal world would be their masterpiece, "Nuclear Proliferation", pressed in 2006 by Regimental Records. This album has had excellent acceptance in the real underground Metal world so much that in his majestic blog, "Band of the Week", Fenriz recommended them, thus becoming the second band in the history of this blog recommended by this member of Darkthrone! Devastator has achieved great popularity in the underground, and because of this, their next album "Morbid Force" was pressed by the English label "Die Todesrune”, demonstrating its popularity among the most elite circles of the global underground. In 2008, they signed with their new and present record label,"Old Cemetery Records", and released their 4th album, "Conjuring Evil", and continued along the same line – old school sounding Black Thrashing Metal. Also in 2008, they shared a split with the American band "Amputator." This split CD was released by the French record label "Maltkross."
In 2009, their fifth production was brought to light by "Old Cemetery Records", titled "The Summoning". This stunning album is not suitable for non-organic Metal fans; this album contains the anthem and masterpiece, entitled "A thousand and One Nights". In 2010, Devastator surprised us with a new album, "Nocturnal Slut", keeping the same line of traditional rhythms, and a bit more of the Teutonic Metal and exquisite Black and Roll. Devastator were definitely one of the bands in the forefront of the true old school Metal world.

Hate Eternal - Fury & Flames [Promo] (2008)

Hate Eternal was formed in 1997. The band's name comes from a Ripping Corpse song that appeared on their 1992 promo EP. The group's original line-up included guitarist and vocalist Erik Rutan, bassist and co-vocalist Jared Anderson, drummer Tim Yeung, and guitarist Doug Cerrito. The band's name came from an old Ripping Corpse demo song.
In 2000, drummer Derek Roddy replaced Tim Yeung and toured for Conquering the Throne. In 2002 the band recorded their second album, King of All Kings as a trio with Rutan, Anderson and Roddy. That summer, Rutan calmly parted ways with Morbid Angel, stating that he wished to devote more time to Hate Eternal.
What followed was a whirlwind of international touring to promote King of All Kings, including a noted video on MTV2's Headbanger's Ball for the single, "Powers That Be". Anderson left the group soon after due to an admitted drug problem. South Florida musician Randy Piro (a friend of Roddy) quickly stepped up to the plate as Anderson's replacement in the group, and the band pressed on. After completing their last tour for the album in 2004, the group began to work on new material.
2004 saw Hate Eternal begin work on the much-anticipated follow-up to King of All Kings, entitled I, Monarch. Recording began in the fall, and the album would eventually be released in June 2005. Hailed by critics and fans alike, the album put forth an innovative new musical approach in extreme metal, while retaining the elements of speed and brutality that dominate the genre. The group's individual and collective talents in musicianship and production shined like never before.
After an internally difficult US tour over the summer of 2005 and with a number of pending business problems, the group cancelled their European tour, scheduled for the fall. After spending much of the winter dealing with internal differences and personal situations, Roddy announced his departure from Hate Eternal in late March 2006.
