Waco Jesus - Filth (2003)

Founded 1994 in Central Illinois by guitarist Kevin Menssen, these perverted musicians of death have developed into one of the most disturbing death grind commandos units known to mankind over the years – not only in terms of sound but also visually. Their absolutely sick covers put even hardened eyes to a severe test.

Hailing from Illinois, along with other acts such as Lividity and the cannibals Impetigo, it seems that this region is full of bizarre people. The strange band name Waco Jesus has no meaning but refers to a massacre committed February 28th 1993 by the Federal Bureau Of Investigation to a group of religious fanatics in Waco. The first demo was released and distributed by the band in 1995. After a few line-up changes the band recruited Lividity- axeman Dave Kibler and drumchaote Nick Null. After a few shows in the U.S. Waco Jesus signed to United Guttural Records, where the bizarre debut ''The Destruction Of Commercial Scum“ was released. Then Dave Kibler left to focus on Lividity and in 2000 Nick Null died. Both were replaced with Johnny Baker on drums and Chris Sweborg on guitars.
Now with a solid lineup Waco Jesus continues their series of attacks on human ethics – by the release of their second album “Filth”. Musically the guys from Illinois live up to their image: “Filth”, in parts an extremely fast manifest of disgust, offers severely brutal rhythms, manic psychotic growl/screech vocals and guitar work of morbid and abnormal styles.

Thunderbolt - Black Clouds Over Dark Majesty (1999) [7''EP] (2005)

Thunderbolt was formed in the end of 1993 to destroy christian scum and all worshippers of good, to bring death and doom. From the very beginning, Paimon (guitars, vocals) was the most important person, but after a long time of searching, two worshippers of darkness - Durson (guitar) and Galan Dracos (bass) joined the band. The growing hatred and desire of vengeance have forced them to record their first uncompromising demo-tape under the title "Beyond Christianity" (1996) which was released as a "Split demo 1997" with Kataxu "North" (via Eastclan). A few months later, Durson has been dismissed as he was too weak to continue the battle with the ghosts of Thunderbolt. In the end of the year 1996 the ban has been reinforced by the new confederate of the night - Uldor (drums). Together they have worked on the beginning of the new war. The summer of 1997 was the time of recording of the fresh material MLP "Black Clouds Over Dark Majesty"- five hymns to prise the Dark Powers. Not so long after that, there has been a split... Uldor was arrested and sent to prison. Galan Dracos was suspected of some crimes too...

Prejudice & Carnal Decay & Infant Bile - Grotesque First Action [Split] (2006)

Prejudice was formed in 1993 during the peak of death metal’s first wave by guitarist Def together with 4 inexperienced members. Prior to the 1997 recording debut ''Broken Promises'', the band underwent a number of stylistic and line-up changes. The years in between ’93 to ’97 band members were asked to join while others were replaced. During these formative years Prejudice cemented the foundation for what later would become their recognizable sound. Two promotional recordings, Violent New Breed (1994) & Jaundiced Eye (1996) were done in the process and the first tours in support of these promo tapes were done in the domestic club circuit. Over the years – without any label support - Prejudice has forged a path for themselves through constant improvement in the song-writing/recording department, a solid live reputation through awe-inspiring gigs combined with rigorous touring schedules and a headstrong determination to reach the upper echelons of their chosen field.

Carnal Decay started in 2002 as a sideproject to do some Death Metal. After a couple shows, in 2003, the band flew over to New Jersey to record their first demo CD "Carnal Decay" at Rob Grenoble's Watermusic Recorders Studio. Billy Milano (SOD, MOD), right living in the same house, was soon convinced to make the production and mix of two songs for the MCD.
After a couple line-up changes the band improved a lot and recorded 3 songs for a 3-way split called "Grotesque First Action" with Prejudice (Bel) and Infant Bile (UK) which was released in the end of 2005 through Grotesque Productions (Spain).

Infant Bile was an Extreme Metal Band formed in 2005 in Birmingham England. Their songs seem to always have a humorous intro. They have guttural vocals and they use a drum machine."Promo 2005" was their first demo. They focus on themes of Wife beating, Stella and Gore.
After a couple line-up changes the band improved a lot and recorded 3 songs for a 3-way split called "Grotesque First Action" with Prejudice (Bel) and Infant Bile (UK) which was released in the end of 2005 through Grotesque Productions (Spain).
The band seems to have split-up around 2009-2010.

Darkthrone - Transilvanian Hunger (1994)

Transilvanian Hunger was the band's first album to be recorded with just two members, Nocturno Culto and Fenriz, following the departure of Zephyrous. The band remains a duo to this day.

Lyrics for four of the album's songs were written by the infamous Norwegian black metal musician Varg Vikernes, who performed solo as Burzum. Fenriz handled all instruments on this album, as confirmed in at least two interviews.

The album was released on 17 February 1994. The cover art was a black-and-white photograph of Fenriz with a candelabrum, which bore a likeness to the cover of Mayhem's 1993 live album Live in Leipzig. The back cover stated that "Darkthrone is for all the evil in man" and listed the slogan "True Norwegian Black Metal".

Originally, the back cover also bore the words "Norsk Arisk Black Metal" ("Norwegian Aryan black metal"). Due to negative feedback from many distributors, however, the phrase was removed. The band also intended to issue another controversial statement to mark the album's release: "We would like to state that Transilvanian Hunger stands beyond any criticism. If any man should attempt to criticize this LP, he should be thoroughly patronized for his obviously Jewish behavior." In a press release, Peaceville Records issued both this statement and their own response, berating the sentiment but acknowledging that they could not censor their artists. Darkthrone issued a formal apology at Peaceville's behest. They said they had used "Arisk" to mean "true" or "pure" and that "Jewish" was Norwegian youth slang for "idiotic". Darkthrone included the following statement with their next album, Panzerfaust, the following year: "Darkthrone is certainly not a Nazi band nor a political band. Those of you who still might think so, you can lick Mother Mary's asshole in eternity." More recently, Fenriz disowned these past statements, describing them as "disgusting."

The ending of the song "As Flittermice as Satans Spys" contained a backmasked message; when the voice is played backwards, it utters the phrase "In the name of God, let the churches burn".

In 2003, the album was remastered and reissued by Peaceville, as well as being repackaged in a cardboard digipak. The fourth and final chapter of a four-part video interview (spanning the first four albums) with Fenriz and Nocturno Culto was also included as bonus material.
