The beginning (1997) - Sharing since 1996 the band Tenebrous Dominancy in which performed the role of drummer and bassist respectively, Koraxid and Azarath founded Grievance in May 1997, with the desire of practising modern Black Metal. The first demo arose in July, is a recording of an essay with a voice overdub on cassette audio. The demo was called "Por Entre a Escuridão Outonal". Koraxid Plays Drums and added Voices and Azarath plays Lead Guitar. The band's logo was designed in this summer, by Azarath. The band's name was given by Koraxid and comes from the lyrics of the track "The Burning Shadows of Silence" of the Album "In the Nightside Eclipse" from the Norwegian Black Metal Band Emperor. "... grievance of sadness, like the gift of sorrow."

The Experimental Times (1998-2000) - Grievance begins a new path, with the adding new members - Marco Tomé on Guitar, Azarath now plays Bass Guitar and voice. Koraxid keeps he's place in the drum throne, and the band is now accompanied by Sergio Pina on trumpet. The path of Black Metal seemed to have been put aside, now with a more experimental band, with a vast crossover metal style. The band started to play live in several places and festivals. Azarath goes out of the country in 2000 and the band slows down its activity for several years, with only sporadic rehearsals with the original line-up.

The New Millenium Sessions (2006-2008) - Grievance is now divided into two countries: Portugal (Caldas da Rainha) and Spain (Algeciras). The band's lineup is redesigned, with the recruiting of Enjendro in Bass Guitar, Koraxid stays on drums and Azarath plays Guitar and handles the Voice. The second demo of the band is recorded, intitled "The New Millenium Sessions" with only two tracks, that demonstrate the efforts made in the creation of new music, with the band returning to its original style - Black Metal. Two songs recorded in separate sessions, in 2006 and 2007, one in Algeciras (Spain) and another in Axe Farm Studios in Caldas da Rainha (Portugal). Due to the distance between the members, the band's activity slows down again...

Grievance Goes Solo (2011) - After several years of almost complete inactivity, Koraxid takes over the project, so that it may live on to see the light of day again, and release new material. This was made by mutual and friendly agreement with Azarath, as they both concluded that a band divided by 2 countries is very difficult to maintain, also both the members are occupied with other activities. Now the band's future is assured and Grievance will maintain its activity for years to come, as a solo statement.

“Retorno” - Full-Length - (2014) - The first full-length album of Grievance, released in February 2014 by the Brazilian Label Nyarlathotep Records. Composed in complete improvisation sessions in The winter of 2011/2012 and mixed in the summer of 2013, "Retorno" is a reverie of occultism, history and inner-struggle. Completely recorded and performed by Koraxid. Koraxid Photo Shoot (Including Cover) By Tiago Da Cruz. No Photoshop effects in the photos, all photography made by analog techniques, in a summer full moon night, 2012. Photo shoot location – Praya D’el Rey, Obidos – Portugal.

“Perante o Céu Infernal” - Single - (2016) - This track was created in one improvisation session solely by Koraxid, who recorded all instruments track by track In ESAD University Sound Studio at Caldas da Rainha (Old-school analogue sound capture and pre-mix), it was a result of an invitation made by students of the sound and image course: André Santos, Bruno Alves, Bruno Vieira and Filipe Nunes. It was reviewed, the lyrics, synth intro and voice were added in late 2015. Remixed and mastered in January 2016 by Koraxid at Axe Farm Studios. It is a stand-alone track for these motives, so it was decided to create a single which fits perfectly for the occasion and also leads for a new musical path in the Grievance sound, perfected in the following full-Length, “Pilar, Pedra e Faca”. Front Cover taken from Tiago da Cruz photo session for the album “Retorno”.

“Pilar, Pedra e Faca” Full-Length – (2017) – The recordings of this album began in September 2013, and were finished in September 2016. There were lots of personal situations blocking the release of this album, Koraxid’s participation in other projects (Medo, Zepyrus), recording and producing other bands in Axe Farm Studios and the creation of Stronghold (A Concert hall in Caldas da Rainha, now closed) were some of the causes of this delay. All of them eventually were dropped in favour of a continuing effort to follow the growth and consolidation of Grievance. All music, lyrics and voices were performed and written by Koraxid, except "Subliminar Voz Interior" - Music performed and written by Tiago da Neta. Special guests for this album: Tiago da Neta (Portuguese Guitar on tracks 06, 08 and 09) and Joaquim "Vulture" Moreira (Electric Bass Guitar in tracks 06 and 07). Front cover drawing by Duarte Cór. (2015).

The Latest Developments - Grievance is now preparing the CD release of “Pilar, Pedra e Faca”, the recording sessions of the 3rd full-length (still unnamed) started in the 31st of December 2016 and are progressing in a steady pace. The Band is being prepared to go live in 2018, with the adding of live members Mortuum in Drums, War Faust in Bass Guitar, Urutu in Rhythm Guitar and WrathWolf in Lead Guitar. Koraxid will be handling the voice in future live performances. The rehearsals started in June 2017.

Hecate Enthroned emerged as one of the most intense bands to come out of the Black Death Metal scene. Dedicated to delivering their own brand of truly evil metal with little regard to politics or the trends of popular demand.

1995: The now legendary demo An Ode For A Haunted Wood was recorded in The Academy Studios – Yorkshire under producer Mags and was quickly spread throughout the burgeoning underground scene. This genuinely brutal and haunting demo gave fans the first doorway into Hecate Enthroned’s twisted and dark world; a demon inhabited world of black witchcraft and despair backed by the bands early and evocative live shows. 1996: The newly initiated didn’t have to wait long for their next fix when later that year the band went back into The Academy Studio to re-mix the demo as the EP Upon Promeathean Shores – Unscriptured Waters, released the following year by Blackend Records to rave reviews and enthusiastic fans. This release saw the start of the Blackened years and the video An Ode For A Haunted Wood accompanied the release on MTV being one of the first Extreme Black Metal bands to be featured on this channel.

1997: With an expectant and hungry fan base established from those first raw releases Hecate Enthroned entered The Winding Studios in North Wales during January 1997 with legendary producer Andy Sneap. This enthusiastic partnership produced the classic first full length album The Slaughter Of Innocence, A Requiem For The Mighty. With its iconic cover from the lens of Simon Marsden and music focused by the isolated North Wales environment and the bands inner dark hatred, a true classic of Orchestral Black Metal was born along with the art of Blasting Symphonic Destruction.

1998: Seizing on the success of the first full length attack, mid 1998 see’s the release of the second full length album; the opus Dark Requiems And Unsilent Massacre. This album takes the craft and mood from The Slaughter Of Innocence… and intensifies it. Faster, darker, heavier with bigger orchestration, each track oozes satanic hatred for all that man believes sacred, a masterpiece of blasphemy. Back in The Winding Studios with well respected producer Pete ‘pee wee’ Coleman gave the album a rich and dark production projecting the listener in to a shadowed world of black witchcraft and sexual power. Taking these early releases to the stages of Europe built Hecate Enthroned’s reputation as a destructive live act, delivering performances drenched with hate.

This year also saw the re-release of the first EP Upon Promeathean Shores – Unscriptured Waters, re-packaged and re-mastered with a reworking of the track Danse Macabre from The Slaughter Of Innocence…album and a new track the fearsome, Luciferian Death Code. This re-release showed the metal scenes affinity to this legendary release.

1999: With the art of Blasting Symphonic Destruction nailed to the Hecate Enthroned banner the bands desire for brutality and carnage is sated with the 3rd full length album Kings Of Chaos. This album showed their diverse nature and skill along with the bands ‘Fuck You!’ attitude to drive forward and produce the music that eats away at the blackest of souls. With Pete Coleman at the helm again this time in Parr Street Studios – Liverpool, this album gave metal fans a heavy slab of diseased meat tenderized in a ritualistic chainsaw armed blender. A mirror image of the epic live shows of that time.

2001: The desire to create and evolve saw Hecate Enthroned in The Elevator Studios – Liverpool, again with long term producer Pete Coleman. The collaboration this time resulted in 6 tracks of a more experimental nature for the aptly titled EP Miasma. Blending the art of dark songwriting and the satanic mind set to produce a breathless attack on the senses, all out brutality tempered with a more twisted ponderous approach to show the bands fearless attitude to move between the realms of creativity and pure musical heresy.

2004: Recorded in Blue Room Studios – Manchester and Produced by Phil Green along with the band; Redimus shows a distinctly nasty edge, an aggressive album echoing Hecate Enthroned’s live performances. Full of venom and fury the tracks thunder along a familiar path of anti-Christian ideology and the intent to destroy all in their way. Huge orchestration again to match the vicious guitar assault keeping true to the bands sickening legacy while delivering a fresh approach to the song writing with thoughtful arrangements amidst the malevolent maelstrom. This album was the last for Blackend Records. The band continues to play intensely aggressive live shows all over Europe, devastating stages at major festivals and club venues alike.

2013 sees the band signing a new album deal with Italian label Crank Music Group and at the end of November 2013 the metal world witnessed the release of the highly anticipated studio album Virulent Rapture! This acclaimed album delivered the promise to continue and enhance Hecate Enthroned’s legacy of powerful, high quality extreme metal. Recorded at Velocity Raptor Studios Birkenhead, Engineered and Produced by Mike Smith, Mixed by Mike Smith, Hecate Enthroned and Kami Kopat, it included a stunning vocal cameo from legendary vocalist Sarah Jezebel Deva which hinted at future collaborations together. The album was backed by the brilliant performance video for the track Abyssal March.

This album saw the band back on the road for more regular shows playing a mini UK Headline tour in December 2013 and an appearance at the Wave Gotik Treffen Festival in Leipzig Germany. Also a headline slot at 2014’s Hell Fast Attack Festival in Cz saw a stunningly emotional and powerful performance light up the festival. Further packed UK shows throughout 2015 with new vocalist front man Joe Stamps including an appearance on London’s Incineration Festival 2016 cemented the band as the premier UK Black Metal act delivering high paced intensity and quality.

Xerión - Ulfxurz (2014)

Xerión was born at the beginning of the year 2000 as a singing solo project, Nocturno, which began working on the first melodies and lyrics. The name of the band comes from the Celtic mythology of Galicia.

Thus, in May and June of the same year and in the solitude of his small recording studio (Estudios Breogán) gave shape to the first five topics that would be part of the first work,
O Espírito da Fraga. This demo was self-published under the seal that Nighttime has with his companion Daga, Nigra Mors, like almost all the works of the band.

In 2002, two more works were recorded,
O trono de Breogán and A harpa do Guerreiro, edited and distributed by French labels, Taran Productions and Gorification Musix respectively. The first shared with national bands, Foscor primer and Cryfemal followed, as well as re-releases of the latest demos through Nigra Mors and Wolf Records, who get the name of Xerión to be known beyond Galicia.

In August of 2002 Daga began to be part of the project touching the keyboard, and at the end of New Year began to look for other members to be able to offer the first concerts of Xerión. After some comings and turns, Lovo joined the guitar and Notna down. Together with a box of rhythms, the first concerts in Galicia are offered at the end of 2003 and 2004, in which they even visit Euskadi.

New jobs also came with the new training.
O Diaño das Tebras was released in 2005 on a CD shared with the Basques Nakkiga and Omendark through Oniric Records, and In the mystical search of Amh-ghad-ari, edited in the same 2005 on a CD shared with the Portuguese band Decayed, also through Nigra Mors . In these works he has had the special collaborations of Leonardo in the violin and The Celtic King In Exile in the Irish bagpipe.

At the beginning of 2006, with Aboriorth already in the drum position, and after offering the first concert in Portugal, in the IV Metal Attack of Covilhâ, Nocturno decides to return to the beginning and that Xerión becomes a solo project (something that in the background it will always remain).

Xerión

Started as one-man band by Nocturno.
Xerión recorded its first demo "Or espíritu da fraga" in June 2001, where the melancholic and ancient atmosphere could already be intertwined, with melodies of folkloric air, which would mark the pattern of all later works by Xerión.

Nakkiga - Amerasu (2013)

The band name, as well as some lyrical themes ("Amerasu") are derived from Tad Williams' fantasy series Memory, Sorrow, and Thorn. It's the name of a city of immortal beings, Norns, and it means "mask of tears."

Nakkiga was born from the ashes of a Grind/Black project called Brutal Devastación Cerebral. The only two components of this group Arghura Zephol (guitars, keyboards and choirs) and Oindurth (drums, bass, lead vocal and vocals) founded Nakkiga in late 1999 at the age of 18 with the intention of making a group oriented to the Thrash of the Storbais, but due to the musical influences of the two components (Black metal, Brutal Death, Thrash metal, Punk ...) the idea was discarded and the group was made as a mixture of all these styles, singing in Euskera and of mythological and/or fantastic theme.
After three years composing in the premises they decide to record a demo. For which they record two songs from the current repertoire, the first song of the group P.D.M. (1999) as a bonus and an outro dedicated to the Artzaiak (shepherds) and the Ardiak (sheep). The demo was recorded on April 7 and 8 of 2003 in the rehearsal room, the first day recording the three songs and the second the outro and the mixes. In the demo
have collaborated Madaleno from Deskizio, Urgarun from Mortinatum, Nadia and Urko by Euri Tantak, Venganza of La Casa del Ruido, Goiatz and Txibo de Ödol and Txema and Txotxe from Cantaores de Joticas Astroungaras.
In October of the same year they enter the "Spitako Studios" and recorded a second demo between days 17 and 18. The demo is composed of an intro, two tracks and an outro. In this second demo they have collaborated Urgarun de Mortinatum and Urritz de Euri Tantak.

In 2005 they edit a demo and also a split with Xerión "Ipar Basoetan / Na Fraga Do Norte" followed by another one in 2007 "Four Concentric Ways of the Ancient Cult". In 2010 he released his full album entitled "Belebeltzeta".

Skyforger - Pērkoņkalve (2003)

Skyforger has been forging their music in the smithy of the Thundergod since 1995

Despite accusations of being politically influenced, Skyforger is merely devoted to the ancient history and pagan mythology of its home country, without any visible signs of political leaning. The band has removed the Latvian thunder cross from its logo because of repeated misunderstandings.

The band's unique combination of ancient and modern influence has given them a wide appeal throughout both the Metal and Folk scenes, and has brought great variety to their song writing over the course of the seven Skyforger albums.
The first of these was unleashed from the forge in 1997. Titled 'Semigalls' Warchant', the demo tape told tales of the last free Pagan tribes of the Baltic peoples; and their struggles with Christian invaders throughout the thirteenth century.
These tales of ancient tribal Latvia and its Heathen tradition were to be expanded upon in 1998 with Skyforger's first full-length album, 'Kauja pie Saules' ('The Battle of Saule'). Later, in 2000, band followed with their third release, the First World War themed album 'Latvian Riflemen'.

In 2003 Skyforger released an all-folk album, "Zobena Dziesma" ("Sword Song"), in cooperation with the Latvian Culture Capital foundation, sponsored by the government.

After the release of their successful third album "Pērkoņkalve" ("Thunderforge"), the band was nominated in various rock music categories for the Latvian Music Awards 2004 and the band performed live at the award-ceremony. In 2011 their album "Kurbads" received the Latvian Music Award in the category "Best Rock Album".

Linda Bēce, Viesturs Grīnbergs and Konstantīns Švedovs were never members of Skyforger. Linda and Konstantīns only played with Grindmaster Dead. Linda did play the flute on "Semigalls' Warchant", but only as a guest.
